He had a good run. Ylonen may also be on thin ice, but as a young guy he may get more chances.

The Chicoutimi Cucumber
A fantastic goal by Mattheson. What a season he's had.
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Meanwhile the ref thinks this in 1996. Judas Priest
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Yeah, I thought the challenge was a stretch. Bah.
Prime Minister Koivu
The Sens are so sloppy with the puck. Fun period full of chances and sloppy, dirty play by the Sens. Barron has improved defensively and he looked good
DON
3 shots for Armia in the 1st.

When I first saw the replay just after the goal, I thought there was a chance they could win if they challenged. Then I saw a few more replays after the challenge and it looked like a bit more of a reach.
tomh009
Definitely an entertaining period. Barron with a nice sliding block at the end. Armia with two great scoring chances. And Slafkovsky giving no quarter to Tkachuk.

The refs are letting a lot of crap go. Entertaining game, though.
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Be cool if CC got to 30 despite a comparatively "down" season. That was a laser.
Prime Minister Koivu
Yeah I certainly don’t want a win but a Caufield hatty would be nice. NHL reffing is ridiculous
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Anyone else annoyed by the EA Sports "circle" appearing under the player they're talking about? 💩

It's goofy but at least it's subtle.

The Chicoutimi Cucumber
This OT is insane!
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Weird gaffe by CC in the SO. Draftists get their win, i.e., a loss. The Habs need to learn how to lock down a lead. They are atrocious in that regard. A surprisingly hard-fought game considering the negligible stakes. These two young teams really don't like each other. If both franchises start to emerge as playoff teams around the same time, we could be seeing the beginning of a major rivalry for years to come. tomh009
The shootout loss is quite fine for me. The boys fought hard and played well, and yet we improved our year-end position.
Prime Minister Koivu
The third period and OT were some crazy stuff. Thankfully we only got one point. I thought Ottawa was terrible in OT, keeping their Dman at centre when they were in our zone is stupid.

All four Ottawa goals were on a man advantage (the last one with net empty) though. Our PK has been somewhat more respectable recently, how is it that the Sens managed to score four on the Habs? sbhatt
Unfortunate that we picked up a point tonight, but it was nice to see Caufield's hot streak continue.
