Reading that report, he sounds a lot like Elias Petterson. Which, if true, is a giant HOLY SH*T!! for the rebuild

One concern I've seen is his skating mechanics; I expect that the Habs feel that this is something that they can improve with appropriate instruction.

We'll be waiting a bit to see him in Montreal, he won't be attending development camp (which starts Tuesday) as he doesn't have a Canadian visa. https://montrealgazette.com/sports/hockey/nhl/hockey-inside-out/stu-cowan-nhl-draft-could-be-a-very-memorable-night-for-canadiens

If he was healthy I'd say move the camp to the the USA!

Have to have the Tom cruise approach here. Asked how he was able to do a stunt when the "safety guy"didn't let him do a stunt - "I got a new safety guy who would"

It sure sounds like the Habs expect Demidov to play the 25/26 season.

I'm sure his KHL season will act as a barometer to determine NHL or AHL but I bet the expectations are NHL.

I also wonder if this has any bearing on plans to add a top 6 forward this season?

I'm still hearing they are also after McGroarty. I'm also hearing rumours on Ehlers.

I think they would like a top 6 forward, but they want someone who is relatively young.

I don't think we are looking at guys in their 30s. ... 27 or younger.

I was hoping for an announcement yesterday but still lots of time for a trade.

I love this pic from yesterday. These guys are going to be dynamite together.

Full points for creativity on that one but I don't know well that'd go over.

By the way, Engstrom and Mesar won't be there as well and I wonder about Reinbacher as I could see them telling him to take a pass considering he'll be playing in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament a couple of weeks before rookie camp.

Your morning trivia. Funny thing about #24…unlike any number over 30, or asinine football player numbers like 54 etc., it’s a small enough number to have been worn by Habs for generations. It’s an old-school number, therefore, but I was initially stumped to think of any iconic Habs who have worn it. Danault and Chelios (!) would be the highest profile predecessors to Demidov: https://www.hockey-reference.com/teams/MTL/numbers.html

Hage was wearing it as well. It's for the draft year.

D’oh! Well don’t I look dumb - that’s what I get for missing the second pick. Sorry for the unnecessary rabbit hole.
