alfredoh2009
Listened on the Amerks’ radio broadcast. game was tighter than the score shows. Rocket’s 2nd goal with less than a second left in the second period was the winner. The two empty betters at the end of the game were fairly easy. Hughes played great in net. The Laval is top in the AHL standings 🚨DAUPHIN 🎩🎩🎩 pic.twitter.com/lFNuS1UMrM — Rocket de Laval (@RocketLaval) November 17, 2024
Commandant
Listened on the opposing teams homer radio broadcast ... didnt watch but knows how well the team and goalie did, and that the Amerks played better than the score. I wonder why you think the opposing team played so well when your only way of accessing the game was listening to their homer broadcast l. Lmao... mental midgetry at work. I am not sure that alfredo deserved to be called a mental midget but if the moderators are ok with it?

I asked the moderators to have him stop the crap. I told them i was minding my tongue and would let them handle it. The moderators told him to stop coming after me. He didnt. Hes been wanting a fight for weeks. I warned him and the mods warned him to stop. He continued. He now sees what happens if he wants a war.... im giving him a chance to walk away. But if he wants to keep needling at me, he shouldnt be surprised if i fire back. If you come at me with a knife, I will give you the opportunity to stop. If you dont and force me to fight back, I will make sure im going to come ten times harder than you did.

It looked to me like he simply posted his thoughts about the Rocket game after listening to it on the radio. How is that coming after you? How is that coming after you? The repeated go fly a kite in other threads. Repeatedly interjecting and calling me a bully on posts where i just talked hockey and other stuff for weeks now. I asked the mods to tell him to stop.... and he decided to put another kite post today as a response in another thread. Like i said. I never responded to any of his jabs and attacks for weeks... and the mods said they would tell him to stop. Hes been asking for a war for some time even when asked to stay on topic and not take jabs.
Commandant
That said, i consider this done. But if he jabs again.... he'll earn what response he gets.
DON
Laurent Dauphin scores three, Connor Hughes steals Rocket a win "In the end Laval scored four and Dauphin had his hat trick, but the win belongs to Hughes who kept the team in the game, especially during the second period. After five consecutive games on the road, the Rocket return home for a rematch with the Americans on Wednesday, and then begin a home-and-home set with the Belleville Senators on Friday night." brindavis
Just out of interest, as I cannot find it anywhere, but is Owen Beck lighting it up on the faceoffs in the AHL. He seems to be off to a good start overall, just wondering on this considering how bad we are at NHL level.

Prime Minister Koivu
Is this guy going to turn into Guhle? Is that a close comparison?

I believe he has chosen more offensive potential than Guhle. He is a great skater. I want to see how much he progresses in the AHL, I have not seen enough of his shot to have an opinion. He is better than Harris was; maybe that is a better comparison

I don't think Engstrom has ever been or will ever be physically imposing, uses more his speed and smarts to break up plays. No question has has excellent mobility. Commandant
Yeah im not seeing the Guhle comparison. Guhle is much more physical than Engstrom. Engstrom is more comparable to a Harris or a Kulak. And hes a 20 year old AHL rookie so lets not go.crazy and say hes better than they are right now.... but if he continues to develop he can be that style with a bit higher ceiling at both ends. He could bring better offence and defence than they do if he continues on this path.
Prime Minister Koivu
I would be super happy if Engstrom turned into Harris with a little more offensive punch. He is likely in Laval for at least 2 seasons I hope he turns out

He also played 2 years in the SHL so likely won't need 2+ years in Laval.
