I am little impressed by NHL All-Star sweaters, let alone AHL ... now year-end teams are another matter.

Personally, don't like to invest/waste 10-20-30 minutes of my time when I could read it in but a small fraction of that time.
dlbalr
Tonight's lines: Simoneau - Dauphin - Barre-Boulet Farrell - Condotta - Harvey-Pinard Davidson - Beck - Mesar Kidney - Xhekaj - Tuch Trudeau - Mailloux Hoefenmayer - Engstrom Wotherspoon - Lindstrom No Joshua Roy as expected so Kidney is back in. Meanwhile, Josh Jacobs' knee injury will keep him out for the rest of the season. He had surgery on Thursday.

alfredoh2009
2-0 Comets. Trudeau came out of the game. I missed why. half way through the game
alfredoh2009
Coool , they are playing a clip about the 1990 year, with the Morissette brothers: “The House of Pain” years
alfredoh2009
Not much happened in that power play mid-way in the second. Dauphin and Mailloux passed the puck back and forth multiple times and there were 3 or 4 shots by Mailloux from the blue line. Nothing exciting
alfredoh2009
On the PK with 6 min to go, Engstrom and Wotherspoon were defending. They defended successfully but Engstrom seemed to struggle on puck battles

DON
3-1 loss. Utica Comets @ Laval Rocket Saturday, January 18, 2025 | TheAHL.com | The American Hockey League https://www.habseyesontheprize.com/laval-rocket-utica-comets-2025-01-18-ahl-recap-score-highlights-a-flat-effort-brings-the-rocket-point-streak-to-an-end-connor-hughes-owen-beck-adam-engstrom-logan-mailloux/ "There were a pair of lineup changes for the Rocket as Joshua Roy was out due to injury. Riley Kidney was inserted into the lineup, while Jared Davidson lined up with Beck and Filip Mesar. Period two didn’t start on a great note for the Rocket as they found themselves without William Trudeau, who exited the game with an undisclosed injury after the first period. Without Roy’s distribution talents, the Rocket power play struggled to find the soft spots in the penalty-kill coverage, and resorted to Logan Mailloux hammering long-range shots on net with limited effect." (PP went 1 for 6)
dlbalr
Upper-body injury for Roy, out 4-6 weeks so that's the end of his All-Star appearance. Lower-body injury for Trudeau, out 1-2 weeks.

DON
Comebacks here as well. Rocket Weekly: Laval Snags Two Comeback Wins – HabsWorld.net "With just 10 points in his first 22 games, Rafael Harvey-Pinard is at the lowest point-per-game pace of his four AHL seasons. " "But there’s a part of me that wonders if Jared Davidson might have made a bit more sense for what’s likely to be a fairly short-term evaluation with Emil Heineman due back in two or three more weeks." Davidson has earned a recall. He is playing really well and if he can make the jump to the NHL he would be a good 4th liner. I am rooting for Florian-X and Tuch, but Davidson may be a better option

Davidson would be hard-pressed to win a roster spot next year with Demidov arriving Kapanen and Beck in the mix. Maybe 2026-27, but that's a long time away. Commandant
I still have concerns that Davidson's skating is not at NHL level.

For Davidson to win that spot, he has to be better
DON
I think he wasnt drafted into the WHL. He then was passed over in his 1st draft year. So took long route to the pro's.
