Updated heights and weights

Hutson 5’10

Reinbacher 6’3 209 lbs

Slafkovsky 6’3 225 lbs

I didn't think Hutson was quite that tall but that's great. Where did you find a listing of all the heights and weights? Thanks

Newhook - Dach - Laine is the line I wanted so I hope they tear it up

And likely Armia-Dvorak-Gallagher on the third team.

Hutson-Mailloux, Trudeau-Savard and Matheson-Reinbacher as top D pairings?

I actually tried to post the pictures before but they were blurry for some reason.

Not sure why they'd have been blurry but I think this works:

Its

Roy - Dvorak - Anderson

Armia - Evans - Gallagher

If last season is the starting point, I'd flip Armia and Anderson and make JA earn his way up the lineup if he can.

Sounds good.

What I’m seeing and hearing on the opening day of Canadiens training camp - The Athletic (nytimes.com)

"Speaking of respect, Slafkovský showed up to the first day of camp ready to earn it. He was easily the best player on the ice in the opening scrimmage, playing the game fast with his brain more than his feet. On multiple occasions, Slafkovský made highly effective cross-ice passes without even looking, firing the puck as soon as he got it, knowing exactly what he was going to do with it in advance, and usually right onto Cole Caufield’s tape on the other side of the ice.

It was just one scrimmage, but Slafkovský was exceptional."

Mailloux may be the one to benefit from Guhle's surgery i assume?

Probably, especially if you think that Reinbacher is on the iffy side to make the team (as I am).  Barron should benefit too as he'll likely play higher up the lineup.

Agreed, I think Reinbacher needs a full year in Laval as he had a crappy development year last year (injuries, multiple coaches). I think Mailloux and Barron will benefit the most although I think Guhle has a good chance to start the season.

Is Hutson a 'lock' to make opening roster?

Savard seems a fit for a partner, for now.

Canadiens camp notebook: Slafkovsky looking confident, dominant (sportsnet.ca)

•" A no-doubter for us: Lane Hutson being in the Canadiens’ opening-night lineup.

That’s not an opinion just based on one scrimmage — even if Hutson was right up there with Slafkovsky as the most noticeable player on the ice Thursday — but based on everything he brings to the table that will make it impossible for the Canadiens to deny him his spot."

I think there is a really good chance Hutson makes the team. I think he will be in the opening day lineup and they will give him a chance to show what he can do. If he falters then they can always send him to Laval.

Today is team 2 VS team 3

I want that Newhook - Dach - Laine line to be dominant. Dach and Laine haven’t played in almost a year so they may be rusty to start though.

They did play yesterday, though! 😊 Team 3 has yet to play a game.
