I was just thinking he will be traded, not necessarily traded to the Habs ... but now that you mention it, it may be a possibility.

He'll be traded if and only if he wants to be traded and he will be given the opportunity to pick his team. 

 

Which means, yes, if Montreal looks to be "one piece away" at that point, its a possibility for sure.
