Primeau is not an NHL goaltender...this stupid prolonged experiment needs to end.

Primeau was excellent after the Allen trade last year.  I dont think that's accurate.

He's having a rough night though.

We need to address faceoffs.... I feel like we lose every bloody draw.  Kapanan needs to up his intensity

Not going to get worried about those yet, it's only four periods so far, and the percentages are always hugely affected by how good the opposing centres' faceoff skills are.

Faceoffs could be 100% and boston would still control possession.  You have to win puck battles. Habs losing em all.

Yup 100%.

Once again we overrate faceoffs.  A faceoff is just a battle for a loose puck, although one we keep stats for (and we dont keep stats for 90% of these battles).

You gotta win them all over the ice.  Thats a bigger focus than the ones that happen on 9 dots on the ice.

3 soft goals.  Before the game I figured they'd need 4 to get a point because Primeau was playing, but that wouldn't have been enough.  Give Dobes a shot going forward.

What a rough night.  Some really weak goals.

For sure. The team is playing poorly, but Holy Primeau is letting in some stinkers.

It's hard to blame Primeau when the team is playing this bad in front of him.

The heck it is.  The team is playing badly, but 2 goals against were horrid...and you can argue a 3rd should have been stopped.  Even if we just hang 2 on Primeau, it's a one goal game and there's still a chance if he had just done his job.

You aren't wrong. Pass execution and puck battles are pathetic. They don't deserve to win, but primeau is terrible today

Cut the goalie after one bad game and bring up a kid with one season of AHL hockey.

Do you people even listen to yourselves?

Haha. I was being sarcastic. He played well enough last year to deserve a solid shot.

That second period was pretty terrible all around.

Primeau is not playing well but it’s hard to score when we only have 11 shots.

St. Louis changed the D pairings.

Matheson - Barron

Hutson - Savard

Xhekaj - Guhle

I really don’t like Matheson so far this season and Barron is not playing well.

I wasn't saying you.  SBhatt is not being sarcastic, yours I could tell.

Yep Primeau hasn’t been great.

Hutson’s pass on Caufield’s goal was perfect. Hutson did some good and some not so good things.

Dach is really tremendous

Not sure Armia is offensive enough to play with Dach

Armia has no business being on that line. Only one that would be worse is Anderson. Kapanan or BB would be my choices.
