I will update this post with rosters when they become available.

Something that I wouldn’t mind trying:

Caufield - Suzuki - Dach

Slafkovsky - Newhook - Laine

Both Dach and Newhook are struggling greatly and neither of them are bringing much value to their lines.

Maybe a swap would help them both?

Go Habs Go

I really want a winning streak

I would hesitate to make the switch at this point ... Laine seems comfortable.

The survey question has, I fully expect you know, a challenge as Evans' next salary (and what fans would support giving him) likely will depend a lot on whether he seeks term (4+ seasons) for security or "bets on himself" with a 2 (maybe 3) year deal ... also, much has to do with how Dach and Newhook do the rest of this season ... if Dach settles in as a legit 2C , Newhook could be a potential 3C (with Beck and Kapanen nipping at his heels short-term) ... and I doubt Evans looks to re-sign as a 4C ... and once they claim Trouba off waivers that throws any cap projections for next season into the mixmaster ( 😜 ).

Yeah I didn’t know how to incorporate term into the poll.

There would be different answers based on a three year deal or an eighth year deal

I cant answer the poll, not a clue what is reasonable salary should be for a grinder like him (or any players, i just dont care that much about salaries/cap stuff).

Re-sign him would be fine by me though, same with Armia.

At the right salary, absolutely. We'll find out in the next six months whether or not they really want to stay in Montreal.

I think Heineman plays very similar to Armia and could replace him cheaper

Armia has said in past that he would like to (grain of salt, wouldnt say otherwise).

Poll question… I don’t mind signing him 3-4 years at 2.75-3.5 million for argument's sake. The poll doesn’t offer me option to then trade him at TDL 2026… or 2027.

He is having a great year. Is this repeatable ? Gamble he won’t have concussion issues ?

I keep flip flopping between trade him now or sign him and trade him when you know Beck or Kapanen can do a reasonable facsimile of his job.

I feel like I'm Torts and you are Steve Dryden. Torts hated the quizmaster.

Tonight’s game is against a solid team. Even without Ovy they get it done.

I was not expecting this from Washington and I’m impressed with their makeover.

This is a litmus test for me. Anderson will have to assert dominance. Montembeault will need to continue his great play. Team defence will need to be good. Need some scoring.

Play well tonight and we can get on a roll.

I wish I could change my vote. I voted for under 2.5 million option but after the debate in the cap management thread I would vote to trade him and replace him from within.

We shouldn’t overpay and create another Gallagher situation.

2.5 to 3 million over 4 years with a rising cap is different than 6x6.5 with a cap freeze. It won't be a gallagher even if he is slightly overpaid.

What a period!

Lots of great plays going on everywhere. Armia saved a for sure goal on the PK with a smart stick.

Dach, Slafkovsky, Laine give up prime scoring chances every shift and they spend a lot of time in the Dzone. I bet their stats are going to be terrible again.

It’s fun to play good hockey
