Dach is out with  LBI that is rumoured to be his other knee but considered day to day. I think we need to evaluate Dach’s play next season but I’m not exactly brimming with confidence that he isn’t a bust.

Hope he keeps in mind that Dach has zero goals and 3 assists since he last scored (January 23rd) ... so no huge expectations, it's not like he is replacing Connor McDavid

I thought Beck looked a bit timid but he was right there on the Laine ping pong goal.

The shots were tied 10-10 after two periods.... so it seems a very defensive game, even with the Habs only having 2 shots in a period.

Montembault made several big saves to earn the shutout. 
 

Slafkovsky played well but he just doesn’t have the intensity. 
 

I would give Beck a few games at second centre to get comfortable

I thought Slaf was great, his goal (and Hutsons) were both created with him going to the net.  Thought he was good along the boards too. 

 

Look, he can talk all he wants, but he's never going to replicate Brady Tkachuk, he just doesn't have the mean streak.  But he can use his body to get to the net and win on the boards and be a power forward and he did that the last two games.

Same here, and I would let him take more faceoffs. Newhook was taking most (if not all) FOs.

I hope Andersons injury isnt serious. This year could be our only chance to actually trade his contract. Or he could be useful if we somehow get back in the mix for wildcard battling.
