Commandant Posted April 11, 2025 Posted April 11, 2025 3-1 Panthers over Detroit at 2nd Intermission. Still 2-1 Sabres over Columbus in second intermission. Quote

Commandant Posted April 11, 2025 Posted April 11, 2025 4-1 Panthers. Looks like Detroit, Isles and Rangers will all have a tragic number of 1 after tonight. Quote
Commandant Posted April 11, 2025 Posted April 11, 2025 Columbus wins.... their number remains at 3. Detroit loses, their number falls to 1. Still 5-1 for the Rangers, the Isles number could fall to 1 as well Quote
tomh009 Posted April 11, 2025 Posted April 11, 2025 Hopefully all numbers will drop to zero by Saturday. Quote

If they go 3-1-0 they will finish with 87 points which we currently have. But we would win the tie-breaker against them in that case. NYR, NYI and Detroit have to win out and hope we go 0-4-0 to catch us. Edited April 11, 2025 by Peter Puck corrected math error Quote
Commandant Posted April 11, 2025 Posted April 11, 2025 As pointed out... the magic number is 2 points. If columbus goes 4-0 with all regulation wins, theyd get to 89 points and tie us in regulation wins, but we'd still have the second tiebreaker Reg and OT wins. So 2 more points to get to 89 would clinch the spot.... Quote

I believe if Columbus goes 4-0 (all regulation wins) in their last 4 games then they would have 1 more regulation win than us, assuming the Habs don't get any more regulation wins. Right now they have 26 with the win tonight, we have 29. Quote

johnnyhasbeen Posted April 11, 2025 Posted April 11, 2025 So a win tonight and we are 2 points back of Sens. Question: do you want the leafs thru one of the Florida team route or Caps then likely Canes? Quote

xXx..CK..xXx Posted April 12, 2025 Author Posted April 12, 2025 With Detroit winning in overtime and the Habs losing in regulation, every team in the race is still alive. It makes things interesting for tomorrow at least with three of the teams in action early and the Habs playing the Leafs in the evening. Islanders @ Flyers (12:30PM EST) Capitals @ Blue Jackets (12:30PM EST) Rangers @ Hurricanes (3:00PM EST) Habs @ Leafs (7:00PM EST) Full day of hockey 🏒 Quote
Habs Fan in Edmonton Posted April 12, 2025 Posted April 12, 2025 I still like our chances of making the playoffs (98%). Quote
xXx..CK..xXx Posted April 12, 2025 Author Posted April 12, 2025 Let’s put it this way. Does it look like we’ll be passing Ottawa anymore at this point? We’re closer to them than any other team is close to us. I like our chances as well. Columbus is the sneaky one in my opinion seeing as they have the game in hand. Let’s go Washington tomorrow, and then never again after that. Quote

Ovechkin is a healthy scratch for rest while their third-string goalie starts. On the other hand, I think Columbus is also starting their third-stringer. Quote

This is the worst goalie ive ever seen in the NHL and that includes the zamboni driver. Two saveable goals on 3 shots. A third goal disallowed for offside. Quote
dlbalr Posted April 12, 2025 Posted April 12, 2025 And as I post this, Columbus scores yet again so it's 4-0. I don't think they're going to give Montreal the back-door way to clinch today. Quote
Commandant Posted April 12, 2025 Posted April 12, 2025 4 goals (All saveable) on 9 shots. This guy is HORRIFIC Quote
