I know, especially in big moments you cannot ask anything more from monty, we have been blessed with consistent all star goaltending for years and can no longer appreciate who we have in net if not up to the bar carey, and Jose set before

And Roy, and Dryden, and Plante, and Durnan, and Hainsworth, and Vezina.

Say what you want about the "flying frenchmen" but throughout our history, all the way back to day 1, we have almost always had an elite goaltender.

Normally my nerves are frayed when it goes to OT in the playoffs, but right now I just feel relieved to have a chance in OT after the way the game went for 2.5 periods.

even if we lose good to know we can hang with the big dogs, certain players have played really well, we may stand more of a chance in the series than I anticipated

Regardless of outcome, seed of doubt planted.

But Slaf at 3:21 will do it.

Hate to say this but that mofo infuriates me.

Yes he can be more physical… but on both goals he got out of the way of the shooter.

That was important.

He will be hard on himself tonight and tomorrow and will be more physical next game.

Demidov is scoring

I'm not even sure he's going to play in the OT.  It wouldn't shock me if they go to three lines primarily with the Evans line working as a matchup line defensively.  The misfit line (Laine-Newhook-Demidov) is going to have a very short leash if they even get a chance.

They've been the worst line analytically by a lot.

Of course our first line is the best, but the Anderson/Dvorak/Gally line is also doing well.
