Signing Three-Year Deal for Vinzenz Rohrer

The Habs have signed prospect Vinzenz Rohrer to a three-year, entry-level contract.  He's in the same situation as Oliver Kapanen was this season; he'll go to camp with the Habs but can't be sent to Laval if he doesn't make it; he'd have to go back to Zurich in the Swiss league in that case.

With Rohrer’s signing, the Canadiens have now signed seven picks from their 2022 draft class – first-rounders Juraj Slafkovsky and Filip Mesar, second-rounders Owen Beck and Lane Hutson, third-rounders Rohrer and Adam Engstrom, plus fifth-rounder Jared Davidson.  It’s fair to say that this draft is shaping up to be a key one in Montreal’s rebuilding process.

Yeah, he signed his ELC about three weeks after the draft.  It slid the first two years and this past season was Year 1 of 3.

definitely, as far as drafting goes, getting to the ELC is the milestone. Picking so high helped but it is a significant accomplishment for the scouting team.

Next is number of NHL games. To show how player’s talent and team development manage to help him reach his full potential
