Commandant Posted July 1, 2025 Posted July 1, 2025 If its prospect for prospect (as some suggested) I want centre Otto Stenberg Quote
Commandant Posted July 1, 2025 Posted July 1, 2025 I like it 19 goals for Bolduc last year. Quality 2/3 line tweener. Quote

Commandant Posted July 1, 2025 Posted July 1, 2025 Kills penalties, plays physical, can score goals. He's an Armia UPGRADE Is a third liner now, but could be a 2nd liner in time and i think he'd fit well with Demidov. I really like this trade, even if its not a centre. 1 Quote

Remember that the best forward on a team when kids are young, plays centre, almost always. So when he was 14/15 years old, he was a centre. Even in Junior, teams will try to get these high potential guys to play centre. Eventually some of the centres become wingers.... cause they just are better there, and there is more competition for the spots. But he's a winger. Quote

He was playing centre in the Q, but has been moved to wing in pros. Here is my report from the 2021 draft. Keep in mind he's really improved defensively, and while there has been offense it hasn't hit his ceiling (most prospects dont), so its not exactly accurate as a scouting report now. https://lastwordonsports.com/hockey/2021/06/02/zachary-bolduc-scouting-report/ Quote

DON Posted July 1, 2025 Posted July 1, 2025 Zachary Bolduc – DobberProspects Fantasy Summary Goalscoring winger with a heavy shot. He plays a physical game and has an ease at causing turnovers. Observations June 2025 – Hockey insiders keep stating that Bolduc is potentially a secondary scorer with middle-six upside. Bolduc is already showing that – so maybe there’s more to it. In his first full NHL season he posted a point every two games, seeing secondary PP time and moving up and down the lineup. But at the end of the season, he had 14 points in 19 games, saw a huge uptick in PP time and had nine PPPts. It was a glimpse of his potential, so maybe he’ll be closer to a second-line player as opposed to a third liner. His metrics indicate a responsible two-way player who still needs a bit of sheltering. His 70.6% PP IPP indicates that he could also be leaned on for PP production. – Dobber February 2024 – After being called up by the Blues on February 20th, Bolduc played in his first NHL game against his former QMJHL coach, Patrick Roy. In 9:57 of ice time, Bolduc had somewhat of a quiet debut, managing only one shot on goal. Despite the team’s 4-0 win, his expected goals for percentage was a disappointing 18%. However, despite this incredibly small sample size in his first NHL game, there will surely be plenty of time for Bolduc to prove his value to the Blues. Cedrick Blais-Turcotte December 2023 – For a player in his first season in the AHL, Bolduc has been great. In 22 games, he has four goals and six assists for 10 points. The month of November has been particularly good for him, with seven points in 11 games. The shoot-first mentality forward has been maintaining this trend in the AHL with an average of 2.14 shots per game. If he continues at this pace, we could see him in the NHL earlier than we anticipated. Cedrick Blais-Turcotte ... Quote

The Chicoutimi Cucumber Posted July 1, 2025 Posted July 1, 2025 A bit like the Dach trade. Identify a 22-year old FW with upside and ship out a D. Honestly I will be surprised if we don't try him at C. Quote
