Looking forward to this game.  Hoping to see good offensive output (4+ goals) paired with a better effort defensively (2ga or less) tonight.  More Demidov magic would be nice too.

I expect Dobeš is starting because Montembeault is the current Mr. Saturday Night, and they are serious about not overworking Montembeault in what will be a compressed schedule as the season wears on

It also helps that this is an out-of-conference matchup.  Safer to start him against the West in that it's not a 'four-point game'.

I also think 2 starts out of every 5 games is pretty fair for this split.  60%/40%

We rode Monty pretty hard last year when we couldn't trust Primeau early and playoff chase got close late, but if we can get closer to 65 or 60% this year, thats probably better.

Struble has to be great tonight if he has any shot of getting a regular place on the roster

Would not surprise me that MSL's plan has been to rotate them for 4 game stretches until one wins the job outright

Not a bad period.

Bolduc, Dach, Gallagher are pretty good together

I liked that line a lot.

Also thought Anderson had a really good period.

Garbage PP again. Can we finally change it up. Slafkovsky on the line makes zero sense.

Slafkovsky is missing his physical intensity tonight.

Bolduc, Dach, Gallagher might be our best line tonight. Suzuki line looks good of course

Despite early chemistry I wonder if Kapanen is offensively minded enough. He surely has the skill but when Demidov is doing things in the Ozone Kapanen is hanging back from the immediate play to cover the blue line.

You gotta join the rush when the opportunity comes

Anderson - Newhook - Demidov

Was just for a shift.  Probably after a PP or PK or something.

Regular lines back together and Kappy scores.

Interesting that Marty changed the D pairings

Struble - Hutson

Guhle - Carrier

Go Struble Go

Struble's best hockey last year was with Hutson when Guhle cut his leg.
