Game #22 - Nos Canadiens @ Utah Mammoth - Nov. 26th - 9:30PM ET

Two teams fairly similar in strength and maturity face each other once again.

The Canadians won 6-2 at the Bell Centre just a few weeks ago.

My girlfriend attended that game on a girls night out while I stayed home with the kids.  I'm still quite jealous of the game they had... :)

Ride the Dobes until he poops himself and let Monty practice

Montembeault gets Friday or Saturday even if Dubeš pitches a shutout(s)

There are four (I think) back to back games in the next four weeks so we need to have two goalies playing. And hopefully Montembeault finds his groove because we need that, too. (Dobes isn't yet where was, either.)

Perhaps Dobes can carry the heavier load until Monty finds himself

Dobes has never had to carry the load before.  NCAA is largely a weekend schedule and he was a platoon goalie for a good chunk of his time in Laval (aside from late in 23-24, they leaned on him a bit more then).  Asking him to do it in the NHL when he hasn't had to much before is asking a lot.  It'd be nice if he could but it'd surprise me if he did.

Had a thought and checked some stats ... Utah has the 5th fewest Hits/60 in the NHL (28th) ... Vegas and Colorado are not big hitters (20th and 23rd) but Utah might be the best team against whom Engstrom should debut on this road trip.

The Gunners beat Bayern Munich 3-1 today, so I will take that as a good omen that the Habs will follow suit tonight! 😊

A bit of good fortune on the second goal with the near-giveaway turning into a three-on-two but all in all, not a bad period.

Also, this different TSN commentator (Matt Cullen) is calling a nice game.  Much easier on the ears so far...

What is it about the second period that makes this team decide to play like shit for a long stretch and give up a bunch of goals?

Our defence play is really horrible. Marty has work to do.

Not their best period, outshot 12-6.

Carrier shoots puck over glass ending in PP goal, and was on for both other goals against.
