GHT120 Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Colorado has 6 regulation losses this season, 4 of them this month ... 15 total losses, 6 of them this month ... 4-4-2 in their last 10 games They play in Ottawa tonight This might not be a bad time to be playing them Quote
The Chicoutimi Cucumber Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Good thing we beat Vegas, because even if Colorado is scuffling a bit, you have to anticipate a L here. I would love to see the Habs bring their A+ game tonight and make a statement. Quote
DON Posted January 28 Posted January 28 I didnt think they would beat Vegas, maybe another bonus win will happen tomorrow. Hopefully Carrier doesnt play 20+ minutes again. He was only player who earned a -2 vs Vegas. Colorado Avalanche - Montréal Canadiens - Jan 29, 2026 | NHL.com Quote

In my view, he's the weak link that needs to be upgraded the most. Swapping him out for a bigger, better right handed Dman would make a huge difference. Quote

Internally, seems is one option, but is Engstrom a better RH-d than Carrier and adding another rookie might be too much for Marty to take. Quote

But playing Carrier with Guhle doesn't see THAT bad, on a relatively small sample size. And Guhle is still getting up to speed. 1 Quote

For Hutson, it's clearly got to be either Carrier or Guhle (since Dobson is locked in with Matheson) ... So it's really back to the question of who to pair Guhle with. And that's pretty much the original list: Xhekaj, Struble, Engstrom, Reinbacher. Unless Hughes finds someone suitable at the right price. Quote
DON Posted January 29 Posted January 29 Recall Engstrom! Sens and Philly have just beat Aves, so we maybe have better chance at a point or two today. Quote
Prime Minister Koivu Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Looks like Guhle with Hutson tonight - Hutson on the right Quote
