Prime Minister Koivu Posted Wednesday at 01:56 AM Posted Wednesday at 01:56 AM Dobes needs the rest. He made some good saves but he wasn’t as sharp as the previous two games Quote

Even the top goalies will only play three games out of four--and that's without the compressed schedule. Quote
DON Posted Wednesday at 02:47 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 02:47 PM Canadiens @ Jets: Game preview and how to watch Whatever happened to the goalies who made last season’s rosters for the 4 Nations Face-Off has stricken Connor Hellebuyck as well. His .901 save percentage has him well off his usual level, no lower than a .920 mark in the past three seasons. That means five goals against every 50 shots this season instead of his typical four, so about one extra goal every two games. The reigning Hart Trophy-winner and back-to-back recipient of the Vezina Trophy won’t be in the running for any individual awards this season. Winnipeg is currently the only team with an average age over 30, and maybe that’s starting to catch up with them. Quote

sbhatt Posted Wednesday at 09:36 PM Posted Wednesday at 09:36 PM Monty and Struble...lovely. Lowering my expectations. Hopefully we score a lot of goals tonight. Quote

For some perspective, each goalie’s last game: Dobes (vs Minnesota): GSAx -1.62 Montembeault (vs Boston): GSAx -0.62 Neither one is a Carey Price or a Ken Dryden. Quote
Prime Minister Koivu Posted Thursday at 12:53 AM Posted Thursday at 12:53 AM Montembault made some big saves. We are fortunate to be tied. Quote

Prime Minister Koivu Posted Thursday at 01:24 AM Posted Thursday at 01:24 AM WHAT A GOAL BY LANE HUTSON Quote
sbhatt Posted Thursday at 01:28 AM Posted Thursday at 01:28 AM Monty is playing well so far. Let's hope he keeps it up and doesn't let in the softy that deflates the team. I'd feel better with one more goal on the board. Quote
brobin Posted Thursday at 01:28 AM Posted Thursday at 01:28 AM We all know this but sometimes it just has to be said…. Lane Hutson is just an amazing talent. Quote
Peter Puck Posted Thursday at 01:32 AM Posted Thursday at 01:32 AM Its so wonderful when the team you are rooting for has real talent. Quote

Supposedly Jets are a 1 line team, focus on shutting that line down and dont take dumb penalties should be priority now with 2 goal lead. Quote

Well, their top three forwards have more goals than every other forward on their team combined. That's definitely a one-line team. Quote
DON Posted Thursday at 02:06 AM Author Posted Thursday at 02:06 AM Veleno 4/5 on faceoffs Struble 8:24 so far, getting a few shifts. Slafkovski 2 blocks, he must lead the forwards in blocks? Quote
tomh009 Posted Thursday at 02:24 AM Posted Thursday at 02:24 AM That Gallagher is a bum ... they need to buy out his contract! Quote
