If Beck beats out Veleno, great, and Veleno's deal can be buried in the AHL with no cap hit If Beck can't claim a top 12 spot, then back to the minors for one more and Veleno can be the 13th forward. It likely depends on what roster moves are made first. Laine is the only UFA so if we hit next season with the same roster then Bolduc, Gallagher, Veleno would sit a great deal. Injuries are coming but I wonder if Montreal would be better off with Gallagher as #13 and let Veleno go. Lots of capable bodies in Laval to cover injuries Quote
