Commandant Posted April 19 Posted April 19 How does Tampa get a PP out of that. The interference causes the high stick. So if i do holding the stick and make an opponent hit me in the face and get cut, my team gets a 2 minute advantage? This rule is stupid. Quote

Just go around grabbing peoples stick and hitting yourself in the face with it. Couple cuts but can play the whole game on the pp. Quote

The stick was already up ... the only "excuses" for a high stick are follow-through on a shot, not a pass or clearing the puck, and when the opponent causes the stick to come up ... my issue with the enforcement of the rule has alwasy bee, and remains, that an intentional/ vicious high stick that does not draw blood gets two but a tap that draws book gets four Quote

And without the interference it doesnt hit point. Its a dumb rule if there is a way of getting an advantage out of committing a penalty. And yes, i know that under the current rule, the ref made the right call. Quote
