I wouldn't necessarily say that the Habs are in his head, rather that it's Caufield and Slafkovsky. In the last three games, they have scored seven goals (7 of 8 goals scored by the Habs), dragging Vasilevskiy's average down to .873 for the three games.

 

None of us know what is going on inside his head, of course, but I look at how he is positioning himself against those two, and to me it looks like he's worried (or stressed, or whatever) about Caufield and Slafkovsky when they have the puck in a shooting area.

 

But let's see how he responds in the next few games. Maybe it's just a blip. Or maybe he really does have trouble with our dynamic young players. Time will tell.

Once again, Im glad Marty coaches the team and not the fans.

Texier was crap and I won’t be surprised if they sit him next game, and Newhook got eaten alive in the face off. Kapanan looked better than both.

LOL... the stats show that the line was the team's best 5v5.  Deny it if you want, but facts are facts.

 

Its why Marty didnt break up the line and there is zero talk of sitting any member of it amongst the coaching staff.

 

Im glad they coach and fans post on boards.

Definitely hope they are because Vasilevskiy was my main worry heading into the series. 
 

I just see him being just as likely to limit us to 0 or 1 goals at any point in the series, as he would be to let in a goal to Caufield or Slafkovský on any type of consistent basis.
 

It’s my personal opinion but I said to a family member prior to game 1 that it seems as though Vasilevskiy has played really well against us in the past but then he plays other teams where he lets in an average goal, relatively speaking, here and there against another team.

 

This season, we have better offensive talent than our past teams so hopefully that now translates to us being able to score on him more often.
