Habs Fan in Edmonton Posted May 28 Posted May 28 I expect a big effort on Friday. They were down 3-1 to the Leafs and came back. They are NOT done yet. 1 Quote

Unfortunately we aren’t playing the leafs. It would be amazing if we came back and won game 5. I just think the teams gassed and our top guys are not playing with confidence at all. Only guy getting the job done is Dobes, who looks like he could actually play another 40 games. Quote

Yeah, its certainly not looking good but I think they have fought too hard to get here and will come up with one more big effort. 1 Quote

That was a veteran team and also a big, heavy team. And as Habs29 notes, they were playing against the Leafs, LOL. We're done Quote

GHT120 Posted May 29 Author Posted May 29 LINEUP NEWS The Canadiens are not scheduled for a morning skate on Friday. For the full official lineup, check back on the team’s social accounts on Instagram, Facebook and X closer to puck drop. As usual, if the "extras" skate that may give us some clues ... although tactically, I might not have them skate and get whatever tiny benefit there is from Brind'Amour not knowing the exact lineup Quote
Prime Minister Koivu Posted May 29 Posted May 29 Beck for Veleno Veleno isn’t setting the world on fire with his play this series (or anyone else), give Beck some experience I know it won’t happen - I expect same lineup with same game-plan Quote

Their domination has been total. That could be an ace in the hole for us, actually. I think Carolina is a sufficiently battle-hardened, experienced team that they will not allow overconfidence to get them off their game. If they do fall into the trap, though, it could be our best chance to avoid elimination. Put in Gallagher FFS Quote
Prime Minister Koivu Posted May 29 Posted May 29 Might be a psy ops but I doubt Gallagher plays tonight Xhekaj might play…for about 6 minutes - so what’s the point Maybe we see a line blender tonight Quote

I'd love to see this happen, just to see if that gives Montreal a bit of a spark. Carolina's going to fire from everywhere regardless of the score so it won't change the shot and attempts discrepancy but a little shot in the arm from scoring first might make things a bit more interesting. DON Posted May 29 Posted May 29 Just seems the Bolduc, Dach, Evans lack the smarts or quality of carolina checkers. Not sure why Evans seems useless. Oh well. Quote

dlbalr Posted May 29 Posted May 29 Guhle is taking the warmup but yeah, it sounds like he's a true game-time decision. Quote
BCHabnut Posted May 29 Posted May 29 Lots of folks banged up for this one, i would guess. Im not confident. But I am happy that they got the experience of this run. Go habs go. Crazier things have happened. Quote
dlbalr Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Official - Guhle in, Xhekaj a healthy scratch per the NHL Media site. Newhook-Evans-Demidov to start so looks like the lines are back to normal. Quote

BCHabnut Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Not a terrible opening 5. Other than the first 10 seconds. Lol Quote
