Or Bolduc Dach , Gally, Kap I believe will be packaged out in a trade with Sammy and our 1st to get that top 2nd line centre. Quote

I didn’t mean it was just going to be them in a trade , i just meant they would be put in any trade package along with picks and prospects. And other players. I hope we use Guhle in Romanov type trade. Secure a top 2 center in this draft. Either trade way up from 28. Or deal him alone for 10-13th pick. Quote

Or deal him alone for 10-13th pick. If we were as ruthless as Vegas is, I’d actually see if we could move Matheson before his no trade kicks in, rather than move Guhle. Matheson and a first for Knies? Guhle is the only Dman we have that is physically imposing AND can play a regular shift with a floor of a middle pairing LHD, and the potential to fill in on the top pairing when required, or at least be a top pairing shutdown/PK guy. When there are in-season extensions signed with trade protection, it can be negotiated that the trade protection kicks in at the time of signing, not necessarily July 1st. It wasn't reported when he signed (it rarely is reported) so I don't know if this happened or not but it wouldn't shock me if that trade protection applied immediately as it is somewhat common to do so. KH usually makes impact at draft. His first year he traded Romanov and a bunch of picks for Dach. Then couple of firsts for Newhook, then traded up for Hage. Of course Dobson last year. I'll bet on Xhekaj I don't think, playing Guhle 12 minutes is not way to go. He can fetch a ton on market and Arber can develop into 6th D if given opportunity. Struble be 7th D. Arber important on small team. He needs to learn take regular shift. Quote
