We're hoping to be attempting a forum upgrade over the next little bit.  Not sure when, specifically, and we may not get enough advance notice to post something the day of so I'm mentioning it now instead.

 

My understanding is that there is a decent chance that after the upgrade, forum logins will be done by email and not usernames.  With that in mind, please check your profile to verify what email is associated with your account.  Otherwise, you may have difficulty logging in after the upgrade.  If you're unable to find it, shoot me a PM and I'll help.

An update on this, I'm still not sure when this is happening.

 

I noticed that a few of you have tried to update your emails but then ran into a login issue afterward with the system-generated emails not working.  If you're one of those, I've manually processed the pending email validations so you should be able to log in now.

i've been having issues with both receiving verification email as well as recapta warnings. Finally able to sign on, but not still have not received verification email after updating my email.

Yeah, emails are down for some reason.  I had seen the other day you were in the validating category so I pushed your change through.

 

For anyone else needing to update their email, give me a heads up (either by PM before you try it or an e-mail - b.larose[at]habsworld.net) and I can make sure it goes through manually.

Overall, I feel the forum has been quite slow recently. Is it us? The provider? Or something else...

It's a server issue as far as I can tell affecting the forum and the main site.  Doesn't matter the browser.  I reached out on the weekend to ask for it to be looked into.
