Athlétique.Canadien Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Bulis to Vancouver - $1.3 million 1 year deal. Quote
Mr. Nasty Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 :lool: I guess those 7 teams fighting over him really drove up his asking price. Not exactly top 6 forward money. Quote
Chips Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 (edited) My Guess is Vancouver! and he will need to sign for less than 2Mil. I wish him all the best. I had a good feeling that vancouver was looking to pick him up. With Carter not returning he could fill the shoes on the twin line. Edited July 24, 2006 by Chips Quote
Captain_Stealth Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Nice signing Nonis. Hopefully it works out. Quote
Athlétique.Canadien Posted July 24, 2006 Author Posted July 24, 2006 Nice signing Nonis. Hopefully it works out. Yep, it's about time he FINALLY broke out. He's already 2 seasons late. Let's go Bulis! Quote
InsaneHABSfan Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 I think he will do well on Vancouver. Not really needed for goal scoring there. Quote
Mr. Nasty Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 (edited) I think he will do well on Vancouver. Not really needed for goal scoring there. Well, that is the big question. Bulis wanted to go to a team that would play him on the top 2 lines and on the pp...obviously, nobody thinks he is good enough offensively for that role...except perhaps Vancouver. If Bulis is expected to be a consolation prize for Carter or Sykora..then it is an awful signing IMO. If he was signed for a 2-way role...then yes, it is a good signing. UFA's usually get multi-year contracts if they are highly desired. Bulis will need to prove himself (again) to warrant more money/years. Edited July 24, 2006 by Mr. Nasty Quote
simonus Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 (edited) Good Luck Jan. Edited July 24, 2006 by simonus Quote

I'm pretty sure it won't be bulis' last nhl contract, he will a great addition to vancouver. one about bulis: he needs to understand his role better and learn to take a hit once ion a while and he'll an nhler for many years Quote
Captain_Stealth Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Nonis is going for a versatile lineup I guess..... Have yet to hear his take. Naslund-Morrison-Cooke/Pyatt/Schultz/King/Reid D.Sedin-H.Sedin-Bulis/Schultz/King/Reid Pyatt/Bulis-Chouinard-Kesler Burrows/Brown/Green-Santala/Reid-Linden Ohlund-Bieksa Mitchell-Krajicek Salo-Bourdon Tremblay Luongo Noronen/Flaherty Something along those lines. Apparently, Bulis is a great cycler and that's the game the Sedins love to play so maybe that's why Nonis wanted him as well. Going to be an interesting camp. Quote
Psycing Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Lol, dang, I really figured he'd sign in Washington with Zednik . Oh wel, wish Jan Bulis the best of luck in Vancouver. Quote
Dalhabs Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Lets hope he starts to understand that he might not be anything more than a 3rd liner in the NHL. Quote
Captain_Stealth Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Oh BTH....... where are you? Damn, he left today....... Quote
shortcat1 Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 (edited) Good for him and may it go really well for him. I wonder what Bulis the Nuckie thinks about that... :?- :king: :hlogo: :king: Edited July 24, 2006 by shortcat1 Quote
smon Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Makes sense..Bulis would play with the Sedins. Leaves room for him to demand more money when the contract expires if he plays well. Quote
jetsniper Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Vancouver sucks, Canucks suck, crappy signing, you know the routine. Quote
House11 Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 I don't see Bulis playing with the Sedins ... maybe Kesler ... then have Bulis on the left with Naslund on the right and Morrison in the middle. ... also I still haven't seen either TSN or Sportsnet confirm this signing .. I know Bulis isn't Chara but I think they mention it if he did actually sign. btw it's interesting if the signing is true that he's getting less money than he did last season. whoops Quote
Captain_Stealth Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 TSN reporting it now. My Webpage A lot of depth on the team this year. Guys who forecheck hard and we actually have guys defensively responsible throught the lineup. Looking very promising. On the Avs...... I think they're going to be fine and surprise a lot of people. Though the Svatos thing doesn't look good. Quote
MAK Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Vancouver sucks, Canucks suck, crappy signing, you know the routine. but at the end, what do you know, they'll finish higher than colorado Quote
jetsniper Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Dammit dude, you're supposed to hate the Avs. How are we supposed to argue during the season! And Svatos pisses me off, arrogant little bastard. Quote

No one is sure but he's threatening to play in Europe next season now if we don't up our offer (which last I heard was around 1.2 mil). And yes Minny, very much so. Quote

Tony Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Good signing for Vancouver. Bulis has scoring potentiel in my opinion but he just was a victim of the Habs youth. Quote
