KoZed Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 I'll go with all-time list that I've seen play... 1. Patrick Roy: The best ever 2. Pelle Lindbergh: James Dean of goalies. 3. John Vanbiesbrouck: 5'8" and could steal game in his prime. 4. Roberto Luongo: Too bad he was stuck with such shitty teams in FLA 5. Daniel Berthiaume: Bandit! Quote
Dutch_Habs_Fan Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 (edited) Gotta go with the Faerie, most of them are all Finnish. (huge Suomi supporter during the world cup) -Aebischer(was a fan of him before he joined the Habs,so him joining was great!) -Huet -the finnish Goalies -Garon the early days: Jarmo Myllys!!! Just great!(played for Finland in the mid-90's) Edited October 30, 2006 by Dutch_Habs_Fan Quote
PMAC Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 The one with the CH on his chest. Ditto, but I had to make an exception for Andre Raccicot Quote
mathieu30 Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 >Patrick Roy >Mathieu Garon >Grant Fuhr >Roberto Luongo >José Théodore, the goalie.. Quote
option+ Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 I always had an irrational appreciation for Andrei Tefilov. Does this make me weird? Quote
KoZed Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 I always had an irrational appreciation for Andrei Tefilov. Does this make me weird? better than Sergei Milnikhov... Like me with my weird appreciation of Sam St-Laurent... last goalie in the NHL to have a full-face mask. Quote

riker Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Goalies that were good ones on bad teams: Allan Bester (what a glove grab he had) Mario Gosselin (Goose meets Moose) Ron Tuggnut (70 saves against Boston in a 3 - 3 tie) Mario Lessard (saw him make save after save on lousy teams) Pat Riggin (was on a Washington Team that he carried on his back) Jim Carey (sad to see your nerves shot so quickly) Remember this is a subjective list and as I was born in the LATE 60's, my view is slightly left of centre! John Vanbiesbrouck? Was never on a team that was good enough to win the cup. He took "his" Panthers to the cup finals once though. Quote
option+ Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 How about Rogie Vachon with the 1970s Kings. He (with a lot of help from Marcel Dionne) carried those teams. Shout out to the early 80s version of Mike Liut. He was briefly the most dominant goalie in the league on St. Louis teams that look merely OK on paper. Quote

JVB... excellent pick for sure... Or even Kirk McLean... How about Rogie Vachon with the 1970s Kings. He (with a lot of help from Marcel Dionne) carried those teams.
