This game looks pretty easy on paper , the Canes are a basement dwelling team with an average/bad roster ... But , its not as easy as it looks , the Canes always play the habs hard ... The boys need to be ready tonight ... :ghg: [Edited on 2004-12-30 by puck7x]
habsfan88
zednik needs to get a goal tonight....havent seen him score in a while....and perrault i think is starting to step it up based on last game vs. the bruins. I think the likelyhood of us winning is pretty good... my predicted score: habs 3 canes 1 montreal - ryder, zednik, ribeiro canes - adams
Quebecois
Tonight could go a long way to sinking the Sabres for good. A Habs win and a Buffalo loss might just do it. Buffalo is in Ottawa so a loss would be the most likely outcome, but we'll see. An 11 point lead would be about where we were before the losing streak last week. :ghg: Hopefully Zed finally gets a goal, God knows he's had his chances the past couple of games. habsfan88
I just dont really like the idea of having perrault on a wing. We have a player on the team who has a gift for faceoffs, and yet, we play him on the wing. can somebody explain this?
Toren
Maybe Perreault can play the wing better than Koivu can. You can't just toss a man who's played center all his life on the wing and expect him to be just as good. Some players (ie. LW/C/RW Michael Ryder) can do it all, some other (ie. Mike Ribeiro. They wanted to move him to the wing, but he just wasn't comfortable out there) players just can't do it. Let Julien do the work. Perreault is still there for key faceoffs. Natural Mystic
im watching the game... and the habs are playing really good... they just didn't get it together on a couple of pp's... but they played pretty good overall...

Dalhabs
I want a goal now... Even if its the canes. Id rather have the canes ahead 1-0 now than when its less than one minute left of the game.

Quebecois
Habs aren't playing too bad, a few bad shifts in the second but overall we have probably controlled the play. We got a PP coming up in the second, hopefully we can solve Weekes early on and then hang on for the win. Buffalo is trailing 4-1 against the Sens tonight. Devils down 3-0 to Toronto. :ghg:

Quebecois
An extremely boring game, even the OT was boring until we scored, but I'll take it! Ribs makes up for another perfect Markov setup that he missed in the first by making no mistake this time. Great game by Markov overall, two perfect setups for Ribs. 4 points from NJ, 11 up on Buffalo, things are looking good.
Habinator33
Oh man was this game huge we had dominated most of the game and Weekes stood on his head. That was just an awesome pass by Markov and a nice play by Ryder to draw some of their defense and make that pass to Markov. WOOOOOOOOOOOOO go habs big win and a big loss for Buffalo who gets to see Ottawa again on wednesday.
Toren
That was the most boring 62 minutes I've ever seen. I hope I never have the chance to watch a game like that again.
sakiqc
what a streak ! 4 wins in a row Boring game as hell.. at least we won.. that's what we'll remember Except if we lose another Dman.. QUintal !! ( Now , let's get the Devils! 6th place here we come!!:ghg: (BTW, could ONeill miss the plane?)
Bonavistaman11
Great game to win!... 11 points ahead of the Sabres now and just 4 behind the Devils. hopefully the team can keep playing consistantly the rest of the way. Can't afford any losing streaks now. :ghg:
Abby
This game really did have about as much excitement as a knitting competition. I can't think of a single thing to say about it, except that we won, and I was so tired by that point it barely registered. Oh well. Can't complain about the two points, but I do hope to god they show up for Jersey, or things are going to get really ugly really fast. huzer
I agree with the above. I kept having to flip between the Avs/CBJ game just to stay awake. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwn. At least the Habs came away with the "W".
Leafs Suck
Saturday's game was the worst officated game I've ever seen... How many high-sticks on Habs weren't called? Three? Plus that pecker head kicked Theodore in the head, no call... Glad we won, cause that was one frustrating boring game...
habsfan88
Ya they were horrible. boring game too. I think they should start fining the refs for making horrible calls since there have been so many lately this year. Its discusting.
