A lot of people mention character but once you build a core full of character guys you can go out and take risks on players, it's that group of character guys that get that one guy to buy into their group.
In the end it's 1 year for 1.1 million meaning he's very motivated to continue his career in the NHL, i'm sure he could've gotten more elsewhere. Worst case if he's a serious issue it either gets the coach fired or he loses his own job.
My thought too.
There's no perfect all-star sniper available for 1.1 M$ out there. He's not perfect for sure, but he's adding something we cruelly lacked, raw skill. I would like to see him with Galchenyuk. Hopefully this is the year Galchenyuk blossoms and maybe Semin will find a way to be a positive impact.

As long as we don't expect Kassian to be the next Bertuzzi it should be easier for him to develop himself and establish himself in the NHL.

Last week, we had a new site record for hits in a single day and beat it by a sizable margin. Today, that record was beat by an even more sizable margin. Thanks as always for the continued support.
With the new servers I think we can land Malkin, and the website won't crash like it used to !

One thing I like about Frolik is that he SHOOTS the puck, something we desperately lack. I often use him in HW fantasy league to boost my SOG stat category. If Bergevin doesn't trade Plekanec, I would see Frolik on a good 2-ways 3rd line with him.

What I meant when I wrote "Pro" was something else. American are more well behaved. The know what to say, they know how to behave. Take one of my countrys most beloved athlete Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He was immature, egoistic but loaded with talent as a youngster. He even spoke of himself in third person!
Now, he one of the worlds best. The one that saw the talent and didn't let the other spoil it are considered heroes today.
Just listen to Connor McDavid. He sound like a pro. Media-trained. Used to journalist. Some europeans aren't. Like Kylington and I'm shocked that he slipped to 60th. It's true he sometimes makes dumb moves in his backend, but he always go for the offensive option. That's why he's spectacular. Like Subban in a way.
I guess the future will show, but my bet is that Calgary will be a better team in a few years.
Interesting comments ch_nl. 18 y.o. is still very young. Might be a steal for the Flames

A little surprising they did it right before the draft. One would think they'd want to keep them around for any last second questions on draft day.
Can you name other players the Oilers drafted the year they selected Wayne Gretzky? Oh, nevermind, Gretzky was never drafted.

Last bit of resume filler will also likely include Conn Smyth at same time for Price.
Cant disagree with Karlsson as Norris, he is an awesome player and no doubt Subban will be in running again.
Price will win the Conn Smythe one day. This is why the Habs should not trade him ever.

If the Nordiques enter as a Western Conference team, we'd get many double-headers nights.. lots of potential TV revenues. Watch the Habs play at 7pm then the Nordiques game at 9-10pm.
