I'm also compiling results from the 30 participants of the draft pool. will release results shortly after round 1

So the team that beat the team that beat the team that beat the team that beat the Habs won the Cup.

Congrats PK! Never would I have expected that in January.
One of the youngest to win that award. Impressive progression.

True or not, it does the job marketing the new awards ceremonies. Had no idea until then that it was split up in 2 TV events.
As for PK, who would have thought that a week into the season ? Will Bergevin regret not signing him long term now? He should not regret it. He'll be able to say to Beaulieu/Tinordi and others "Hey I didn't sign long term the Norris winner, so don't even think about more than 2 years"

Few guys in our group went with Boston and Chicago. Good job.

I think Kolzig would be the complete package in regards to Price.. on and off the ice. Gotta make it happen MB!
interesting idea.

How fitting is it that Iginla deflects the series clinching goal in his own net ?!
Bruins - Hawks should be entertaining.

No official list is out yet but the Habs Draft Combine should include Kurt Etchegary, Gabryel Boudreau, Émile Poirier, Dylan Labbé, Anthony Duclair, Jérémy Grégoire, Kerby Rychel (ugh) and Marc-Olivier Roy.
What is wrong with Rychel? Posted great results in fitness tests, had good stats through junior. I haven't seen him play though so i'm wondering why you hate your local hero.

Thanks for the quotes MoLG, and good post HabsWEST
Congrats to Bergevin for being nominate for GM of the year.

Thanks Brian for writing this. Great memories! Incredible it's been 10 years. Nice to see many originals still around. The community has been blessed with great quality members additions over the years. HW has been slowly growing over the years without any pretension. We've been blessed with many members contributing on the forums and on the website for many years. But there's one that has been here all the time from day 1, only one that kept contributing, more and more, and it's Brian La Rose. Thank you Brian, thanks for your behind the scene work and for your great contribution on the forum and website. Nice to read you, nice to have you here at HabsWorld !

Good post Commandant. It's important to put things in perspective. Therrien referred to that in his postgame interview. Lots of work still to be done, but a step in the good direction. A hell of step if you ask me.

I'm wondering if we'd be in this situation with Torres in the lineup. I believe his presence would have changed the dynamic, put less pressure on Prust and give confidence in Moen. Still mad at Bergevin for not pulling the trigger on him. We had to take advantage of those 2nd round picks.

We were in this game for two periods. Price lets in a stinker, then Gio fails to score on the breakaway...that was it. The third makes it look far more horrible than it really was (no duh), but without question we had way too many passengers tonight. Like I say, I'm worried a lot of 'em are playing hurt.
That Gionta failed breakaway hurt a lot.

I've lost all respect for the Sens as well.

Alas, I don't think six minutes' rest will really make all that much difference ...
??? you never know when a player will get injured.
However for a tired goalie in a 3-5 PK, sliding from post to post back and forth, the risk of pulling his groin increases a lot
-
We're asking for Price to be pulled so we rest him for next game. No need to see him get injured at this stage of the game.

PULL PRICE !!! Come on Therrien

Ouch, this is embarrassing.

Eller's out of the hospital so that's some good news at least.
I was in shock when Pax got hit by Chara. Last night was similar but somehow more hurtful. I don't remember another occasion that I had tears in my eyes watching a hockey game on tv. That was hard to watch.
Relieved he's feeling better today..

Habs needed to get up 3-1 on the 5-3 power play. Bring on Friday!
Would have been great. Dunno about that Markov-Subban "switch side" move. It's not working, stop it!
-
Any update on Eller? Was away from the screen for the past half hour.

The answer to #1? No, unless you're willing to pay him $65,000 to write for the site. And if you are, can you pay me that instead?
The answer to #2? He had three years with the team and played less and less each year. There were rumours of a lack of work ethic and he steadfastly refused to backcheck. How many chances should he get? 3 straight coaching staffs have deemed him worthy of benching, that says more than enough for me.
Ok, hmm... no lol.
You should have aimed instead at that 125$ that I was hanging in the air

Clutterbuck is one of the league's top 3 hitters. Nino is hit or miss. Has done nothing so far at the NHL level. I don't like this deal from a Habs perspective.
Ohhh boy !! Schneider to NJ !
