I saw that Drouin hit coming from a mile away

Seems like a bit of the same old same old here...Price gets beaten on a 'perfect shot' that I nevertheless suspect the Price of 2014 would have stopped; then has absolutely zero chance on a disastrous defensive lapse; and in both cases the goals flow from ridiculous d-zone lapses.
Sigh...
Sigh is right

Buffalo wanted it more.
Most of the Habs players looked like couldn’t give a shit. Poor Petry he’s so tired playing so many minutes because no other defender is capable.
I think the whole team is tired.
I would never make excuses for this team, but November had been a busy month

Drouin just glides around out there. I see him waiting for the play, all of the time

Not a bad period.

It's so frustrating to watch.

Good God!
Another game where looks like Petry and 5 borderline NHL d-men in front of Price.
Benn is coughing up puck, deflecting shots on and whacking Price with stick.
Oulette is just horrible.
-
It's so true. We have 5, #7 defensemen.
-
I shut the New Jersey game off after mid second, but i thought Reilly was solid in the Washington game
-
I definetly agree about the forwards helping out the defense, but to watch Schlemko get burned in front of the net on the second or third goal, was just embarrassing
I'm not sure if sending Mete down is even an option right now, but i think it needs to happen
-
The defense is ####ing terrible
Get rid of Schlemko

Hitchcock is not the coach i would want if im building my team around connor mcdavid
Me either.
He might be fine in a short stint, but he's not the guy I would have targeted
Chiarelli should have been the one that got fired

Tough day for coaches. Mike Yeo was let go after St. Louis lost to the Kings (Craig Berube is the interim replacement) while Todd McLellan in Edmonton was just fired, replaced by Ken Hitchcock.
Why would they hire Hitchcock

Scherbak seems fragile

They are playing Benn on the top pair, against the Caps top line. Thats the biggest issue.
Benn looks fine on the third pair with weaker competition... but you can't expect to put Benn on the ice against Ovechkin's line or Backstrom's line all game long. He just can't do it.
I'm fine if he's traded cause we have a log jam of third pairing d.
Its the lack of top 4 D that is killer.
We have 2 right now... Petry and Reilly (barely, but he can do the job).... Weber back will help. But we need one more to step up.... Mete is young and not ready... Benn is a third pair guy at best, same with Ouellet, Schlemko, Alzner, etc...
Agree for sure.

Schlemko and Benn were just awful.
Hopefully one or both is on the trade block shortly, I can’t count how many give aways both had this game. Such a shame.
Benn has reverted back to his old ways.
I never liked Schlemko. He thinks he's more than he is. Bad pinches, stick handles way too long in his own end, then makes a terrible pass because everyone is covered by the time he gets rid of it.
I didn't think he was as bad as Benn last night, but i would assume one of those two will be gone shortly.

Danault and Shaw on the first unit. Come on now
-
Lehkonen seems like he has lost a step this year

What a pass and goal!

Mete 2:57
Petry 9:10
He'll probably get sent down.
I hated the idea at the start of the season, before he got a real look. Now I think it makes sense
-
Good to see Price find his game last night.
Does Mueller still run the power play?

Not a rookie, but Juulsen would be better next year and Brooks, Fleury or Benn would be fine as a 6th defender.
The CH will be deep at right-D next year if Brooks starts knocking at the NHL roster's door
Benn is a ufa, after this year

Kassian & Lucic should be good for couple PPs.
I thought i read Lucic has 2 goals in his last 65 games.
Bergevin was hard after him, as a F.A, for more money too. Yikes

I get they're tired, but this team is starting to show their true colours.
They look identical to the 2017-2018 Habs, tonight
