  1. They wish.

Methinks they're creating the rumor because they want it so bad. :P

    I agree 100%

That is all the Toronto media does. The funny thing more times then not it works too. They are brutal!

Gainey will never be the GM of the Maple Leafs, it would be sac religious!

  2. Like a few people mentionned, any Cages aux Sports is pretty good, especially the one at the Bell Centre. But the best place in town to see a hockey game is at Champs.

    Champs Sports Bar

3956 St-Laurent Blvd. (just south of Duluth street)

Which ever place you decide to go to(whether it's a Cage aux Sports or Champs) i strongly recommend you call in advance to reserve some places!

Ok, thanks for the heads up. I appreciate it.

    GO :hlogo: GO!!

  3. So I am coming to Montreal next with a tour group. I will be staying to see the game on the 11th vs NJ. But Saturday night a few of us wish to go watch the game vs LA at a sports bar downtown. What is the place to go?

We live near Toronto and are tired of these so called "hockey fans" and are looking forward to mingle with fellow Habbies.

    Thanks.

  4. Ask the flames that! They were SHIT before the playoffs! barely made it! and since then they havent looked back!

    I disagree.

    2003-2004 Regular Season Standings

    Western Conference

    DETROIT 109 pts

    SAN JOSE 104pts

    VANCOUVER 101pts

    COLORADO 100pts

    DALLAS 97pts

    CALGARY 94 pts

    ST LOUIS 91 pts

    NASHVILLE 91pts

    ------------------------------

    EDMONTON 89pts

    MINNESOTA 83pts

    LOS ANGELES 81pts

    ANAHEIM 76pts

Calgary didn't limp into the play-offs and were 3 games away from having home ice.

  5. To just make the play-offs is just where my expectations begin. As a proud fan I expect to be ahead of the Leafs for starters. What is the point in making the play-off if you just limp in by a point or two? I know the odd team will manage to fire it up at the right time, but that is rare!So I expect home ice advantage at least for the 1st round and to have a serious shot at the cup. We saw earlier in the season we can do it.

If you want goose bumps turn your speakers up and go to www.habs.com

I myself put on my tape with the closing ceremony of the Forum. What a great ovation for the Rocket!

Actually not too many Laff fans said anything, there was the odd comment but as always they didn't make any sense. I did get my cousin to say :ghg: to Carlton Bear.

  8. Ok first off let me say, I was wearing all :hlogo: from head to toe! No mistake I was there to skate with my little cousin not Darcy Tucker. After a series on line-ups that spanned 2.5 hours we got on the ice. They were calling it "Skate with the Leafs" but really it was more like skate around the Leaf fans as they stood there to get thier picture taken with McCabe, Tucker, and Clark. Mike Pelyk was there but nobody knew who he was so he had a good skate too I guess. A few others were lying on the centre ice getting pictures taken as they made some crazy face. It was funny to see 35 year old men with lust in their eyes as they shook hands with these players (maybe worse then the teenage girls meeting the Backstreet Boys). So after I was assaulted by Carlton Bear it was pretty much time to leave. Don't get me wrong this event was to raise money for the Easter Seals so it was a good cause, but when leaving they gave out goodie bags. 2 autographed pictures Matt Stajan and Nik Antropov (good Christmas gifts for my less intelligent friends) then it got really good  a flyer for Marlies tickets, a Leafs pocket schedule some hockey magazine (all that are normally free) and a game day Program from Nov 23rd. (today was Dec 11th). If any thing at least I should be on CityTV wearing my :hlogo: Jersey in the front row of the group picture and was able to scar the Leafs logo at Centre Ice.

And that was my day with a few Leafs.

    :ghg:

  9. Firstly you must remeber I always want Montreal to win. But if we had to lose I am glad it was last night. Bringing the boys back down to earth and ready to play the Leafs, there is much more pride on the line in this game.

They showed a one-timer which was his first hat-trick as a Ranger. I was disapointed when #1 was a normal goal. It was a hat trick in triple OT though so it was #1.

#1 was in Game 7, OT. The Canucks were down 3-1 at one point.

They went on to the Stanley Cup finals. Making enough money in the play-off run to build GM Place. Thus why I call it the house Pavel built.

Pavel Bure will be Russia's GM for the Olympics.

Not to be dismissive... and perhaps I'm not aware of ... but ????  I don't know, Bure never seemed like management material to me.  Interesting.

I guess you didn't know....Of the family business.

From 1815-1917, the family made precious watches for the tsars. The dynasty's founder, Swiss watchmaker Eduard Bure, is said to have been the first to attach a tiny strap to a watch so that it could be worn on the wrist. In 1996, Bure presented 3 of the 50 gold replicas of the company's last model to then-Russian President Boris Yeltsin, Prime Minister Viktor Chernomyrdin and Moscow mayor Yuri Luzhkov.
