Are you guys sure.. what I saw was Lats high stick a guy.. then head to the bench.. then chips takes a guy in the corner and they blow the whistle...

on the replay they show that chips high sticked the guy.

However, even if I am wrong, the refs made the right call.

IF Chips penalty was being called by a linesman, he has to wait for the play to stop. Goals would not have counted, but penalties do. If not, the habs could go up to someone and deck them it the face with no consequence....

On FSN they were showing the replay of Chip's HS.

Thanks for the explanation on the linesmen. I forgot about them being able to (I wont say call) point out penalties to the ref.

All in all - Brodeur saved the game in the first 10 minutes and Parise's first goal took the wind out of the Habs sails. 1 Even 1 PP 2 5-3 goals what a way to go.

They didn't.. the devils never lost posession.. the rear official was calling lats, the puck came to the habs end and chips high sticked the guy in the corner. That is when the habs got possession of the puck, the whistle went, the devils managed to cough up blood, and there ya go.

But Gui had possesion before he did the high sticking. Shouldn't the play have been dead before the Gui high stick?

Down here in sunny Orlando Florida.

We're lucky if we get a line or a boxscore not to mention the really rare mention on the evening news. Thankfully theres the internet and Center Ice. However in order to see the Habs you've got to suffer some really bad announcers (Buffalo's got the worst) and yes I've watched HIC (especially the Toronto games)

I have met a number of Habs fans down here though so it's getting better!
