I think it's the 2nd or 3rd time he dropped the gloves this year...which isn't bad at all!
i would like a little more, but most of the habs games are tight so its hard...but i think if he drop the gloves more he could take with him some of the other teams top players because it seem that the guys he get to the most..

Laps didnt run his mouth, he's the one that went after Ballard, because Ballard injured AKost with a very low hit.
i know that...but he as always shy away from fighting and when you play the pest role you got to drop the glove once in a while which he wasnt doing..so iam just saying iam glad his coming into his role so i dont have to defend him from ottawa and leaf fans for being a p*ssy any more..

I don't understand why Pouliot hasn't been on the PP in the last couple of games. He goes to the net, battles in front of the net - excatly what is needed. Metro did a good job at exceeding expectations, but I think if Pouliot is put on the 2nd unit with the two smurfs, it should actually help them develop chemistry faster.
maybe he whats to give him more time to learn the pp montreal runs....and why not just let him keep working hard and earn the spot...i think that was a problem in montreal in the pass just giveing him the spot because of there last name..and this can cause problems in the dresing room..

Not crazy about the punctuation, but this is a sensible post. It's not as simple as "keep this guy," "sign that guy." It comes down to their price. If Pleks can't be signed at a reasonable rate, then trade him for major value at the deadline. If you think Price is your #1 going forward, trade Halak for help elsewhere. Package both and you should really be able to clean up.
We're not used to seeing Gainey with this strong a hand. The future of Rebuild 2.0 could be defined by what he does with these assets.

i thought we would of learn from the guys we lose last year is what we dont want in players, komi over rate by montreal fan,ran to the leafs for big money..kovalev who plays 1 in 5 games hard and then cant believe he didnt get resign..koivu who i loved, but he could bring the team together..bob made the hard changes last year and alot of habs fan still crying about losing those guys but they suck this year, and should really open everyones eyes of what our ex fav really give to this team..the gm and coach know these players better then anyone...me for one i love the new team and we can only get better..i think bobs on a 3 year plan..

With the exception of last season,(the whole team sucked last year) Plex had progressed in the right direction in every year.

Like I was saying, Plex had progressed in the right direction in his first 3 seasons. As his Average Time On Ice increased, his point production increased as well. The 08-09 season was an anomaly for him, seeing as Kovy wasn't playing well and neither was AK46. Once again, his ATOI has increased and his point production has exploded. Let's not forget that Plex is one of our best penalty killers and plays a solid two-way game. He isn't a defensive liabiity (he has a career +28 rating).
Sign him as soon as you can BOB(first couple of weeks of January), don't fv.ck around too long!! If Bob waits til the Olympic break, my guess is that Plex's agent will tell him to wait til July 1st, and then we'll lose him for nothing! If that were to happen, Gainey should be fired on the spot!
bob got only a few choices here, offer plex a new deal..if he takes it great if not you got to trade him..same as halak..i dont think any one here would of guess plex would have this kind of year..so you cant blame bob for not giving him big money last year..the only reason bob should be fired is if he dont start talks with these guy before the end of the year..
the problem with these guys are they true canaidians or just just another komi..takes the big money and run..
more then good plays we need guy that what to play for the habs..its hard place to play and we need guys that can handle that..
i think halak well be trade because he asked for a trade and that shit with his agend(and this is 2 thing that we heard, who know what else might have happen)bob is old school and well send him packing, his just waiting for the right deal..

Quibbling, but I don't think he's overrated so much as just a lazy bum. *When he plays*... he's one of the top talents to have every played the game, of that I've little doubt. Problem is (and I live in Ottawa, so I hear it here now too), he only *chooses* to play a few games a year. The rest of the time he coasts on his reputation.

the ? is why is plek playing so well this year...you got to look at what as change...i think it as more to do with the coaching and more to do with who he is playing with...most people had plek wrote of at the begining of the year and now there on the bang wagon..i think plek only plays as hard as the guys he play with and is not a game changer him self...last year he played with kovalev,the most over rated player i every saw in the :hlogo: , he played when he feel like it, wasnt a leader and quit on the team when he didnt feel like he was getting the passes he like and ect.....but this year he is playing cammalleri and to me this guy is what the habs as been wait for along time, a guy that love to play hockey and be the best he can be all around, on the ice and off( a really leader) and i think this as rub off on plek and made him step up..

Ya, everything I said is 110% wrong because the Habs were the #1 team in the East for 1 year.
Ironic that the proof used for me being wrong was the year Price had the superior team and lost to an inferior team. I guess Philly beat us that year because the team couldnt score and not that Price was playing with what looked to be a broken hand, which was completely not injured at all.
Everything I said is bang on when not taken completely out of context. Especially the single handedly part. If you think I mean that 1 player can play by himself and beat the 6 other guys you are on crack. I stand by saying Price has yet to single handedly get the Habs into the playoffs because its absolutely true.
Ya, while it is definitely true that some goalies have won Cups who didnt get the team into the playoffs, theres 1 huge difference thats being conveniently slighly overlooked. These goalies who have accomplished it werent the teams starting goalie. Is Price the backup? No. If your starter needs the backup to win enough games to get a team into the playoffs then theres a problem somewhere. Just out of curiosity what happened to the last backup goalie to come in and win the Cup? Oh ya, thats right, he became the Cannes starter. Hard to beleive, what a crazy concept.
My memory is bad? Funny, I recall that 42 of the Habs points in 07/08 were got by a goalie not named Price. Too bad he sucked and was traded that year. Might have come in handy for all the shots to Prices glove side in the Philly series.

If my number example is so off, and Price is a 7 and Halak a 3 please explain why their stats almost identical? Price is 2x better, 3 x, 4x bullshit, Price is marginally better. Look at their stats, it doesnt show Price as being 2.5 times as good like you falsely claim. . Prices NHL career GAA is 2.72 and Halak surs as hell isnt 6.8. Its more like 2.78 Wheres your basis in reality? Thats pure grade A hypocrisy. You clearly know what your talking about by saying a GAA difference of .06 is a difference of a factor of 2.5 times and I'm the clueless one? Ya OK. Like I said the difference between them isnt that big. I never said that goalies dont allow bad goals. I clearly said that most goalies dont routinely allow almost same identical shitty goals every time. Huge difference.
Theres a lot of unknowns with Price that have absolutely nothing to do with hockey, and there simply isnt with Halak. Thats a fact. Yet everybody is saying I'm wrong because of 1 year, which Price didnt single handedly get us into 1st place by any means but sure give Price all the credit for 42 of Huets points.
redondo gets it. Sure a top 6 guy would be great, but not at the cost of a cheap backup, and like a top 6 guy would fit cap wise anyway. you must really hate price but heres the truth about 2 of the guys, there both good goalies, not great right now but good..you hate price, some guys love him..you guy can sit here and fight about whose better all year..but really its means shit..no one here can change who we keep and no one here knows really anything about what goes on behind close doors..so every one should relax and hope we win each game, i dont care whos in net as long as we win...but i swear some of you hope we loss if price plays(or halak) just so you can sit in your basement and think you know every thing about hockey becaue you right on here...and dream of the day your gm lol...
i use to like come here to this site for its great game thread and cheer for the habs with a bunch of guy from all over canada with out leaving my basement but this site as turn into a big p*ssing match for some guys and as come way less fun to post here and enjoy the habs with fans of the team...i wish some of you guys get over your self and start cheer for the team more then your self..
so heres to the habs and its great fans...let get back to the great game theards..

out with the old and in with the new...maybe Latendresse just couldnt lose the attitude that the team had last year..any way i think this be good for both guys..

not every thing is bob fault, there is a rank structure and bob gets his inf from the next in the chain in command..i think bob put to much trust in guy(rookie coach) bob goes to guy for inf on players and if guy didnt have a clue what he was doing this could cause the missed handleing of players..for example ryder a goal score playing 7 min a game on the four line, hard to score there..Streit being use as foward...and if i right it was Sergei who took ryders spot on the top line, ryder been know to be a great dressing room player and Sergei well we all know what kind of guy he is..even listen to guy on cbc for the habs game and it sound like he dont have a clue want his talking about...
i think bob got a big wake up call last year when the guys turn their back on guy and a lot of things came to light..

i just think he would be more usefull as a pest/fighter...if he learn that role...alot of guys that get to the pros got to change their game and do what best fot the team..i think that as been a problem with the team for along time..
