No, the Leafs went in with John Ferguson claiming they've got 17 million in cap room. In theory it could be possible considering they've drastically reduced the cap hit from Belfour, Domi, Allison, Lindros and Aki Berg.
If any team needs to dump salary, it's the Devils. How they'll be able to re-sign Gomez and Gionta is beyond me.
But mark my words, the Northeast division is improving quickly. At this point, if the Habs roster doesn't improve, we're looking at a dogfight for the lower playoff spots.

I think Bert will be just what we need....ignore what happened...I mean that could have easily happened to anyone whos taken a swing thousands of times. He just needs a fresh start.
I agree Abby definitely should be traded after a solid ending to the season and Danis should backup. That also clears cap space to sign Huet and a sold Center

What to we do with goaltending next year?
I think Huet will resign...then what...send Abby to Vancouver for Bert?
Bring up Denis? Give Price a chance at backup?

If Montreal wins the series, they will play Ottawa if they win their series. Montreal will play Buffalo (OR NJ if Philly wins their series) if Tampa wins...
Those are the three most likely teams we will be playing...I think I'd want to play Ottawa the most. Buffalo and NJ kinda scare me

Koivu has been invisible along with his line mates.
I would like to see the Plekanec's line on the PP they have been amazing at even strength.
The longer the game goes the worse it looks for the habs without Souray, three habs D men have already played 30+ minutes.
Huet is not covering his rebounds very well and the Habs just can not buy a goal on the pp 1 for 8 I believe what a joke!
You are right...Plek and Zed have been playing great all night and deserve some PP time

Kovalev steps it up big time for playoffs eh....we need to get him to shoot as much as possible....
Goalies look tired...although Huet looks tired more.which kinda scares me.
Nonetheless, Huet has played a solid game (enough to win) despite giving up 5 so far
