here in America Football is the number 1 sport, i know in Canada it isnt, but is there still high school football? and how popular is it?

People won't stop watching in Canada. They never have watched in the US. In the US the sport is a niche sport. And why in the life of me does Bettman not see this. He'll go oh our arenas are full. Thats because the only hockey fans you have go to the games. Nobody watches it on tv. Hockey will always be a Northeast/Canada/Northern Plains sport. I doubt people in florida care about there hockey team. There is no average fan in the NHL. Its either you're a diehard fan or don't care about the sport. Americans don't care about the sport. Its time Bettman to realize his crusade of putting hockey where it doesn't snow and doesn't belong to end and move the teams North.
actually Tampa Bay is pretty successful down there, my grandfather lives down there, moved from NJ and alot of people moved to the tampa bay area from the northern part of the US cause of health problems, They draw alot of fans, especially now because the Bucs are playing like poop this year and they dont have a basketball team in the area. my point is some southern citys are good for it like Tampa Bay

There's too many teams already. It's diluting the talent pool for the game.
I say no more franchises and move the failing ones in the States back to Canada.
yeah I dont understand why there are teams in Nashville, Atlanta,pheniex and all the southern states
Im a beleiver that there shouldnt be a team south of DC. Move those teams to Canada or Portland, Maine some places like that

Its even worse for college sports.
I disagree about college sports. the only footbal teams in the Northeast are Boston College, Rutgers, Temple, UConn, Army and Navy. and the funny part is Navy is doing something remarkable, with the wars they are still able to feild a potenial Top 25 team in the Country.
But in basketball i can see where your coming from

There lineup is hands down the best in the NL if a pitcher can give up 4 runs in 6 innings and hand it over to the pen they should be good, atleast untill Duke comes back

Two things: Lou's screw-up cost a 1st round draft pick and kept some of his core players off the ice for all of training camp. Not a great way to start the season amd that could come back to haunt them.
gionta martin and clemensen have been in camp for months. I think it was a thing when they had deals worked out, but just couldnt announce them cause of cap problems

SJ got a first round pick for two players who are not even on they're roster and are both over 27. Korolyk is playing in Russia again this season so he can't even play for NJ ... SJ got a gift for taking Malakhov's cap hit which SJ would not have used this season anyways. because malakhov retired as a devil they have to actually pay his salary
im was talking about making trades for overpaid players and we dont need that 1st round pick, We already have a strong group plus it was a conditional 1st round pick anyway

Hard to have a good release when you can barely move your arm. Atleast he played through his injury to try and help his team win, more then Hasek can say for the Sens.

No its not, they basically traded him for Gionta and MArtin, cause there not signed yet, plus or AHL and ECHL teams have some talent, we are covered up for the future anyway

The papers arouind here are saying that Brylin will go, but Im not really sure maybe madden or Rafalski which will would suck, but we'll just have to see with Lou has up his sleeve this time

My take on that is i think he can be in the top 5. I think he might win MVP this year, I hope that Clude lets him be the capatain I really do, Last year when he was out we couldn't score at all, Then when he came back we couldn't be stopped especially at the end of the season.
