Seriously does it really matter? Look at all the past promises that have been broken by EVERY party...................IMO it doesn't matter who wins we all lose! Our local Liberal member of parliment has been on tv in the paper almost EVERY day the last couple of weeks announcing funding.............will we ever see all of it?
thats why i always vote right wing- you know their gona screw ya- its common knowledge- where as liberal and labour draw you in then spit you out- with tories you at least know where you stand.

One particularly obscene thing about this is it gives all sorts of discretionary power to the common police officer. In this day and age a criminal record can stop a person from getting jobs and from traveling abroad, even if they are one day pardoned, because US immigration has long reserved the right to disregard "cleaned" records and deny entry based on any criminal conviction in a person's past.
So if a cop is having a bad day or doesn't like the looks of some kids sharing a spliff in Carré St Louis, in one second he can totally screw up their lives. And when society declares a kid a criminal, there's a pretty good chance the kid will learn to act like one. Or will cops go after the old potheads, the white ponytails making pottery and listening to Harmonium? This just makes no sense, I hope Canadians strongly protest and block the initiative. It is a bad, bad idea if Canada is going to cave into US pressure on pot laws.
i have to agree with you 100% spot on with that mate. great post. over here it wouldnt go on your record you'd just get it took off you. most police turn a blind eye to pot smoking now.

Hows it baloney? explain it? dont know about canada but over here it is fact that your more likely to delve in crime if your from a single parent family. even a leftie like yourself has to admit i have a point? im not saying it makes the person a bad person for delving into crime- they cant help circumstance- if your from a single parent family your likeley to live in a rougher area- that cant be helped- your more likely to get in with a bad crowd- wont have the opportunities others in better areas have, wont have the same education - i could go on all day. (although you still should know right from wrong).
my best friend has never had a father around- and although academically he is clever he has found it hard- and is always getting into trouble- because he aint had a father figure around to discipline him - he'll admit it himself, his mum has always let him do what he wants when he wants, basically left him to fend for himself since he was 7 yrs old as his mum is although she loves him has had to leave him to go to work to support them both. the closest he has to a dad is my father. i have another 5 or 6 mates exactly the same as him- all got into crime, drugs etc etc- yet my mates who have had both parents around who are married have never got into any trouble- the proof is in the pudding.

Yeah your right, polls came out, Brown did the cold water on the hot stove.
as it stands inheritance tax effects normal working people. especially in london. the average house price down their is about 300k (for a WORKING CLASS PERSONS HOME)- if you inherit that amount you pay 40% on it. how is that fair? you work all your life, save up and try and leave something for your kids- and then boom- gone in a flash the socialists scum that is labour steal 40% of it. you seriously think its fair for someone to recieve 160 k of 300k inheritance? it aint. what does it go too? scroungers who cant be bothered to work and save. labour champion the feckless- end of.
under the tories youd have to inherit at least 1 million before paying inheritance tax it- which most middle class kids will inherit (basing it on the fact that msot middle class kids hosues are worth around 500k and then whatever else they inherit) - so under the tories the rich will get burnt more than those at the poorer end of the scale.
also under this scum and filth parents who aint maried get more chiokd benefit than those who are. hows it right to encourage the breakdown of family?

To be more clear.....fighting the drug war is futile. There will always be supply as long as there is demand.
But to be fair to Harper, not all the funds are tagged for drug enforcement. 2/3 of the money is directed towards treatment for drug addiction.
in england if you have an illegal drug addiction that the government aint making cash out of you can get NHS treatment- but if you pay four pound in every 5 pound for a 20 pack of cigarettes and your a smoker, or your obese- doctors are now refusing to treat you- disgusting.

Tories won't win, sorry there bud. Even if Labour is completely lost (which is it is, New Labour is a joke), Brown is seen as a strong figure.
if you wernt all the way over their id put money on the fact that your wrong- the latest polls show tories in the lead. and brown has 'bottled it' - not going to call an election.
tories will win it -no doubt- another gr8 policy of theirs- to scrap inheritance tax .

pot is harmless?
dont make me laugh- it has long lasting effects on the brain- i know people who use it that much they cant function properly. it is harmless to society because people who smoke generally cant even be bothered to move but it is harming them- then again if you wana be reatrd the rest of your life then fine- do as you like. -

that dont matter- the tories will win the election anyway, labour have pissed of too many soldiers and pensioners for them to get in again. plus the fact that the tories will scrap the id card scheme that labour are trying to push through.
