  1. The Habs are still alive and kicking. I went to the game last night and I would say Max, Begin and Streit played well. Ryder Dandault and Franky Boy played poorly. They hit the crossbar twice which really would have made the game different. Halak rough start but really composed himself and played very well in the 2nd and 3rd.
  2. I'll be at the game ....anyone else going? GO HABS GO
  3. I was also thinking though that if it looks like Halak is starting to struggle Carbo should not be scared to put Huet in (If he actually thinks he can play). In these types of games the Habs cannot afford to go to by 4 or 5 goals. If Halak lets in 3 shaky goals (knock on wood) Huet should be put in. I don't want to think about these things, but I do think that Carbo needs to be decisive if he needs to be and maybe make a bold switch in goal if Halak starts showing his nerves, keep in mind he is still young and there is so much pressure on him.
  4. There is a pool hall with lots of big tvs in Ottawa known as MacLaren's, if you are a Habs fan I advise you to never go there. I have gone a few times in the past and have had a pretty good time, they have the Habs games on and the servers are pretty friendly. Until last night. First of all I would not have gone out but I had a friend coming up from Kingston and he was staying downtown so I thoguth MacLaren's would be a good place to watch the game. WRONG. I went to meet up with some friends and watch the Habs Caps game at this place around 6:30 so we could get a tv and a place to sit to watch the game. We watched the first period having a good time, got some beer got some wings. Around the end of the first period these two girls and two guys come in and sit behind us, we were clearly watching the habs game. I had my habs hat one and my friends were all watching the game. So the waiter goes to their table they say something to him and he comes right in front of our tv and turns on the Leafs game, I sat there in shock wondering what the hell he was doing. I look back at one of the girls sitting behind me and she gives me this rye smile like "yeah thats right Im from Toronto and I get what I want" So the next time the server came around I asked him if we could put the Habs game back on we had been here for a long time, we actually cared about our game we had spent a lot of money, these other people just barged in after the first period etc etc, and he said he couldnt change it back for some reason. Now this is what really makes me mad is that there are about 100 other tvs in the place that have the Leafs game on and 1 with the habs game on in the far corner of the bar and we couldnt see it. If they had one tv in the place I would understand but with 100 tvs and half of them with the Leafs game on surely you can leave the RDS Habs game on our little tv that we had been watching for the entire first period and avant match. I kept looking back at the "leafs fans" that wanted so badly to have their game on and they werent even watching just talking amongst each other. I will never go back to that place again Ottawa is the worst sports city in Canada. I'm sure there are lots of spelling mistakes in this but I was just so worked up I had to get it off my ches
  5. Really excited for this game but really nervous at the same time. Like someone already said shut down Ovechkin and we should be fine. I hope I can enjoy this game from start to finish and not worry for 40 mins like on Thursday. Go Habs Go
  6. A really slow start after such a huge emotional win. Still 0-0 though 40 mins left. GO HABS GO.
  7. I just hope I don't wake up tomorrow and hear, Kostitsyn and Halak and Saku have the flu. It's been about a week or two since someone has got it....
  8. I have a funny feeling he will play again, even though I'm not 100% sure I agree with it. At the same time I think he could be really fired up if he gets the chance.
  9. I would like to say yes, and if they play like they did against the Leafs the other night I will say yes. The thing that worries me still is the terrible inconsistency with this team from shift to shift and period to period. If Carbo can stick with his lines, play his best players, Halak plays like he did against Toronto and we get some luck we can be there. I really hope it won't come down to the last game of the season but I think it might. I'm not sure if I will be able to watch it will be way way to hard on the nerves.
  10. Nice GTD. I don't know why and I am probably wrong but I just have a weird feeling Samsanov might play tonight. Hopefully Bonk is better.... GO HABS GO
  11. There is no way Abby should be allowed to play tomorrow. Leighton must start.
  12. I went to the two afternoon games (Sat/Sun) back in early Jan. against the Devils and Rangers and that was pretty brutal. The quality of the game goes down and injuries go up.
  13. I agree with you I'm not a huge fan of them. But I guess that's the way it is.
  14. I'm not exactly sure how Perez will fit into Carbo's future plans, but I really hope they keep him. He is still young and makes mistakes but he has a lot of skill and speed, and although he can take a lazy penalty from time to time I think he works really hard out there. Hopefully he can get healthy soon so they can fit him back into the lineup.
  15. Halak without question. I have nothing against Abby but he is not playing his best recently. I was very impressed last night with the puck handling and control of Halak and his technical skill in goal. Ride this guy until he starts playing poorly/ starts losing. GO HABS GO
