And, I think, if you are a scratch you find out early in the day...Rivet just found out and apparently left the Bell Centre...Which is not the reaction I would expect from a stand up guy like Rivet.
Not a stand up guy, he hasn't missed a game in 3 season's, he played with a broken wrist and stood up to the french media for beating up one of his teammates (Brisebois), and you say not a stand up guy. GIVE YOUR HEAD A SHAKE!!!

Here is a crazy idea why not stick with the lineup we have. Higgins is coming back, I hope Samsonov will keep scoring and we will keep climbing.

Rivet for under a million, you are nuts.
If you watched the game last night and the way Rivet owned Briere and kept him from even having a quality scoring chance you will see his value. Rivet plays in every tough position and hasn't missed a game in two full seasons and that is not to say he hasn't been hurt, that shows what kind of team player he is. And that my friends is hard to come bye in the NHL.

Rivet will resign for under a million, Abby and Niinimaa will both be sent packing, Markov and Souray will stay. Both will ask for and get raises, but they won't be exorbitant.

It was such a secret they only spoke about it on Hockey Night in Canada on the Satelite Hot Stove. I think Montreal is going to have the same problem as last summer with their lack of ability to sign quality free agents. Rivet will be missed and those who think Souray is going to sign here are out to lunch.
