    Brilliant result! Totally unexpected! Youth injecting something into the old dogs - maybe the knowledge that no-one's position is safe?

    Good game to go to. Pred fans are dorks. Completely sold into the disney aspect of it.

    What a shocker. They figured out that the teams change end every period yet?

    If he really was a cancer and that much of a negative influence BG would have got rid in the offseason, a la Ribs, etc. Make no doubt.

    Skills beyond compare on the team. Has been playing injured. Scores consistently (remember points down across the board in the league...too many teams, too diluted), creates for other players, demands attention of the defense.

    Some players play with desire that is not of the Darcy Tucker mold: it is there but not always paraded for the benefit opf cameras, fans, etc.

    He is older and has had multiple surgeries, cannot perform as he once did. We are lucky to have him. He won't be around long and contributes.

    Would you trade Souray?

    The more we go, the more I doubt Kovalev will be moved.

    Souray to SJ sounds good. I think the more 'marquee' player might end up being Briere via free agancy, so Bob might be satisfied with the above two players plus a third or a pick.

    Still see something with Chicago happening, prying away Smolinski somehow, maybe for a kid plus a prospect and Samsonov thrown into the mix.

    By the way, don't we already have a prospect named Matt Carle???

    You think Miiny will move Gaborik already? I highly highly doubt it.

    What would Wild have that we would want? I can see Bob talking up his old pals/linemates over there, but they look a bit too similar to us.

    Trading Souray is still a great idea. Trading Ryder while he's on one of his 4-5 game streaks, well that looks even better.

    Has Markov actually said he doesn't want to play here next year, or that he'd like to test the free agent market?

    I might be wrong, I thought Souray had mentioned that being closer to his daughter would be ideal, but he also loves playing for the Habs. I might be wrong about that though.

    Even-up, Souray or Markov, without thinking of other factors? I'd say Markov - I also think Souray has higher trade value than Markov.

    I'd say yes. We won't resign him.

    Whatever we get back, we should include at least a d-prospect with a forward. I'd be amazed if the Wings give up on Datsyuk - but I'd take him in a heartbeat. The Kings will quickly lose ground in that market to the Ducks if they don't start making the playoffs, Souray would be a very attractive player to them.

    There will be a lot of takers for Souray. Great team player, never complains, offensively gifted - could bring a very good team a Cup. Price will be high.
