  1. Danis is back. So the goalies in Hamilton are Danis and Desjardins.

Leighton will stay in Montreal, because if he's sent down he'll have to clear waivers first (that's what Carbonneau said). I think Leighton is here just in case Aebisher or Halak got injured

  2. I agree with the two first posts. The media pretend to represent the fans, but in fact, I rarely feel that my opinions are represented by them. They pretend to be experts, but any one of them would do worst than Rejean Houle did... I hate french media (I'm french myself), they're prone to hate english people like Gainey, even if he's highly respected by everyone else.

I just discovered this forum and I'm sincerely surprised of how people here have intelligent opinions. People here actually EXPLAIN the WHYs of their opinions.

As Pierre the Great just wrote, they're fans who always complain. Reading the talkbacks on rds is depressing. I find this forum quite refreshing.

  3. The more I think about it, the more I think Gainey made the right choice. With Souray we still can make the playoffs (ok we lost to the NYR, but Toronto and Carolina also lost yerterday). Significant help would have cost alot (prospects and/or picks), without any chance of going deep in the playoffs.

  4. Pittsburg got better. Atlanta got better. Islanders got better. Toronto (Perreault) and Ottawa (saprykin) somehow got better (or at least have more depth).

I agree with Bob's decision to not trade his prospects, but the trades made by Atlanta and NYI won't help us make the playoffs... And if we don't make the playoffs, what's the point of keeping Souray?

    Your thoughts?

  5. A fourth and Corey Locke for either Joseph or Belfour, Id' say. Locke works hard and deserves a chance, but it's gonna be very difficult for him to crack the rooster in Mtl because of the presence of other more talented young and small centers like Pleks, Grabovsky and Urquart..

  6. Hey, he's still one of the best player in the league! When is the last time we had a superstar in Montreal? Don't tell me you'd not like to have him!

BUT I agree that we can't afford him. NYR GM will ask for highly regarded prospects in return. It would be foolish to give promising prospects like Higgins and Komi for a 35 years old star... But I'd be quite happy if Bob could steal Jagr during NYR GM's sleep LOL
