Why was it Kostopoulos instead of Kostitsyn who was promoted to the first line when Ryder was demoted to the fourth?! AK didn't play a bad game! And at 2-2, you have more chances to score with AK than Kosto...

I don't agree with you guys' opinion about the second assist. Great plays often begin before the first assist. For example, a few games ago Brisebois score a great PP goal on a pass from Plekanec. On that play, Kovy has the puck at his usual spot along the board. Then you see Brisebois pointing Plekanec to Kovalev with his stick just before he rushes to the net. Kovy passes to Plek who immediatly passes it to Breezer who scores. That was a great play, and both Kovy and Pleks deserved a point. Both assists had the same value.
The examples about Sundi and LeClair not even touching the puck do not convince me to view the second assist as of less value. The fact is that these are not assists...
The second assist also reward puck moving defensemen. Making a good pass out of the zone that leads to a goal IS offense contribution and should be counted as such... Whitney to Malkin to Croby to Malkin to Crosby and he scores... if that doesn't remind you anything, check the highlights of last saturday's game!

C'est que même les francos de ce forum participent davantage au forum anglais...
Si tu veux un forum en français, il y a toujours celui qui est sur le site officiel du CH...
Mais je te suggère de rester sur ce forum, quitte à ce que ce soit en anglais... c'est le meilleur sur le CH à mon avis, et surtout le plus respectueux.
Et n'hésite pas à poster en français, il y en a plus qu'il parait sur ce forum et des anglophones font des efforts pour écrire en français!

I don't think Saku should do feature interviews without an interpretor present. But he already made a gesture with his bilingual taped team intoduction tonight, which was well received at the Bell. And as for post-game comments, those are formulaic, Saku could easily do them in any language, to start just follow the script:
"Tonight we (gave/didn't give) 100%, and it was a (great win/tough loss). I think we really (came together/fell apart) in the (1st/2nd/3rd) period. (Name the other team) plays a (fast/physical/smart/dirty) game, and to beat them we have to (forecheck/trap/shoot/lace our skates/bribe the refs), and we (did/didn't do) that tonight. Thanks, got to hit the showers now . . . *hurry away* . . . "

There were 2 scouts from Vancouver at yeaterday's game against Philly... that leads to believe that Vancouvers' two scouts and assistant GM that were at the game tuesday were not there for the Trashers...
The Cannucks have a poor start and struggle offensively... could they need a second line winger to play with the Sedins? Ryder maybe?
But who do we need from Vancouver?

What could Halk and #### fetch on the market?
That would be a bizarre move to trade big #### and keep the little one. They both have stated that they'd really like to play on the same team.
Plus, I don't think that an underachieving former first rounder has much value on the market. The AHL is full of underchaieving former first rounders... Even if AK as a load of potential, he stills has to show it (or have a chance to) at the NHL level.

RDS just annouced that Price, Chips and Grabs were told that they can rent an apartment: they'll stay with the big club this season.
What are your thoughts, especially about Grabs?

All I know is that I think it's time to trade Halak Ryder and 2nd for some scoring.
You can also throw Grabs in the package... if he has some trade value...

I thought Lats played a solid game yesterday. He had good scoring chances and threw some good hits (especially the one on Gill!). This year Lats looked like a AHL player, but he's been better in the last 2-3 games. He doesn't deserve to go to Hamilton in my opinion.
Ryder is the underachiever and AK is the guy who deserves better. He set up 2-3 good plays, but Dandy and Smokes are far from being natural (or even average) goal scorers...
