i know it's a long long long shot, but does anyone have some relatively affordable tickets to the habs leafs on the 7th of february? My fiance and I are coming into the city and are both huge habs fans, but haven't been to a game live. Would appreciate if anyone could spare a pair, i understand it won't be cheap. thanks for ANY consideration.

Hey boys,
how's all your summers going? Hopefully good
So I've recently come into the possession of a Saku Koivu Game worn sweater. I want to get it signed and then frame it in a nice 290$ frame. Does anyone know if this is possible, are there events coming up where there is an opportunity to get the sweater signed?

All home games involving the Original Six teams should have both teams wearing vintage jerseys. How about Montreal's CAC jerseys and Toronto St. Pat's jerseys or Detroit Cougars jerseys.
acorrding to howard berger
THE MONTREAL CANADIENS WILL NOT HAVE AN ACTUAL THIRD JERSEY NEXT SEASON. INSTEAD, THE HABS WILL WEAR A TOTAL OF FOUR DIFFERENT UNIFORMS COMMEMORATING THEIR 100th ANNIVERSARY IN THE NHL. THE 2009 ALL-STAR GAME PATCH WILL BE AFFIXED TO EACH JERSEY. I HAVE RECEIVED NUMEROUS E-MAILS ASKING ME TO POST THE THIRD-JERSEY PHOTOS. OBVIOUSLY, IF I COULD DO THAT, I WOULDN'T HAVE SPENT SEVERAL HOURS DESCRIBING THEM IN MY BLOG. AT THE MOMENT, THE AGREEMENT I HAVE WITH MY LICENSING SOURCE IS TO KEEP THE PHOTOS OFF THE INTERNET. IF I AM ABLE TO SHOW THEM AT SOME POINT, I CERTAINLY WILL***

This is a no-brainer. I'd prefer to have almost ANYTHING from the 1920s to almost anything from the present...jersey included.
remember the habs game vs detroit last season and they did like an original six salute before the game. Carbo, Lemieux, Richer, and Moore came out during the ceremony in CCM habs jerseys. I thought that was odd. Maybe they'll go back to CCM for the throw back? The picture of this ceremony is in the Canadiens Magazine with Komisarek on the front that's why i thought of it

Does anyone know if there will be a special centennial patch on the habs jersey this year? or will they be selling one? because if there is, then wow I would love to get one

Plex needs to stay. On top of what Chris said, Plex's got impeccable work ethic and he's a coach's player; you can't ask for much more.
i as much as the next habs fan would love to see sundin come to montreal, but i sincerely hope that the plex, kostitsyn, kovalev line stays together

For a guy who allegedly said he would never play in Montreal some time ago, I find this signing very interesting. Perhaps he now likes the direction the team is going in, or perhaps he wasn't getting any good offers from other teams. Well, the media should enjoy having big George around.
can't wait to see george pound on Lucic next year

Oh, yeah, it wasn't meant as an attack on him. More of a gripe about a certain outlook that's existed among some Montreal fans for some time now - not necessarily Familia.
I love him, thats why i'm sad.

well this should be an interesting thread
wouldn't that be the BEST ever?!

CANADIAN TEAMS please screw the NHL, Bettman is dragging the name and image of hockey through the mud. All 6 of you are making up over 40% of league revenues what with your big tv contracts with TSN, CBC and RDS. It is clear that the other 24 (American) teams are draggin the league down financially. what would any good businessmen do in this situation? CUT THEIR LOSSES. I urge you great Canadian Franchises, cut your losses, form your own competitive league and expand to Winnipeg, Quebec and Hamilton. GIve us great Canadian Hockey fans an amazing 9 team league to watch and fawn over. Who will finance this crazy venture? How about Balsille, who is sick of the NHL i'm sure, how about Mr Katz? Mr Melnyk (spelling) and maybe even Mr. Gillet (tougher to convince). I think it's time to give the NHL the old heave ho'. I'm tired of watching teams like Phoenix and Nashville, two of many "un-hockyish" cities. So PLEASE Canadian teams...screw the NHL

I don't believe I missed this game. I was travelling from Boston to Athens. It's bad enough I had to be in Beantown a week early, but I also found out that my cousin has box seats for Tuesday's game and he's driving down from Montreal (one of the perks of working for TD Bank).
Anyway, Game 2 is by far the most important game of the series. Win it, and ur two wins away from clinching. Lose, and ur back at square one.
By the way, mark my words, but the time we're done with the playoffs, the city of Montreal will have a major love affair with Tom Kostopoulos.
GO HABS GO
kosto speaks french? never knew that! how is he?

god i hope he's ok

i love this picture lol
can you hear the ole?!?!?!

maybe stop taking penalties too?

go habs go!!!

i hope habs run the table tonight and absolutely shatter ottawa's confidence
lets destroy this team before the playoffs start

I have a feeling tonight will be a loss, but that we might be able to steal one in their barn on April 1.
If we can pull a point out of tonight, I'll be the happiest man in London.
london ontario?

What the hell is wrong with Koivu.. first tape to tape pass in the whole game it is to a bruin in the slot...
i knew you were going to rip on him and i'm glad he just set up that goal, but i know that won't shut you up
