PS - Habs (81 points) have 3 games in hand on Dallas, who are six points ahead of the Habs for 2nd in the league. Anyone want to raise the bar a little higher yet?

I think I'm still enjoying the moment of the teams stab at first place in our conference from last night. I just want them to keep winning now, clinch and hopefully stay ahead of Ottawa to at least win our division. They should really focus now on just playing solid hockey that will benefit them in the play-offs.

Sure catching Dallas or Detroit would be wonderful but just plain old icing on the cake after the fantastic season the Habs delivered so far. We can worry about first overall next season. Besides....I'm sure Ottawa is not going to roll over and die and just let us have 1st. Add Pittsburgh and New Jersey to the mix. There is still lot's of hockey to play and nothing is impossible.........Go HABS Go!!!!!!!!!

Ya.......Carbo deserves a lot of credit, I hope he at least gets noticed.....which he will......

watch out for boston, only a few points back and 2 games in hand

  2. I for one and extremely impressed with what has transpired this year in terms of our montreal canadiens. Bob Gainey has flown under the radar and built this team up from the draft. I love the habs and always have, but I never expected it to be this amazing this year. I know that as fans of montreal a lot of you are critical and so you should be of history's greatest hockey club. But at times I find the level of skepticism and pessimism slightly disturbing.

how many of us really believed that the habs would be contenders this year? I doubt a lot of you truly believed that, infact I remember reading all the bashing of Gainey's moves during free agency time, Hamrlik was "unproven" and Gorges was too young and inexperienced. There was a lot of bashing of getting rid of Rivet and a lot of mixed reaction over Souray. To me it seems as if Gainey has proved everybody outside the organization wrong, including his fans, and has shown what visionary he is. This years trade deadline is even more evidence of the habs' bright future. Gainey didn't sell the farm to win a cup this year with a "rental" player who is now injured, and I for one am relieved and overjoyed. So the only reaction from fans in MY opinion should be optimism and enjoyment, it's been a LONG time since montreal has looked this good. Enjoy it, and enjoy our 25th cup in 2009 the centenial baby that's what bob is going for!

    GO :hlogo: Go

  3. It depends on the type of game you plan to watch...are you going to be the fan with the Royal blue helmet and the Red Jersey on screaming his freaking lungs out with your guests...or are you going to be the type to just get up and applause when the canadiens score? If you are fan A) I highly recommend the 300's..as you feel more into the game...and you feel like one big warm family up there. I do not recommend the 200's because apparently people in Montreal have lost their morals and order enough food to feed a whole country...thus making u miss some pieces of the periods. If you can afford 100 level seats...they are great seats...theres no such thing as a bad view...but try to print off a seating map so you know what sections are where the habs attack twice! Bonne Chance!

so no tickets available through anyone here then?

  4. Sorry dude. I have 2 tickets to Tuesday night's game vs the Rangers, and I already promised some chick i'd bring her.

If I were you, I'd show up at the Bell Centre aat least 60 to 90 minutes before the game and buy some from scalpers. I'm sure you can find affordable tickets from them(40$ each) but you'll be in the nose-bleeds!

isn't that the best spot to watch a game anyway?

  5. Hey everybody,

My names mike, I'm coming to montreal tomorrow for my FIRST time with my fiance and her parents and I was wondering if anyone would be willing to part with 2-4 tickets for tomorrow nights game vs the flyers. It would be my first game seeing les habitants live in montreal. I'd be extremely grateful, but i'm looking for affordable seats, definitely can't afford expensive stuff. Thanks

    mike
