What can I say, I give the people what they want.

It should jump start San Jose.
While the three players they traded are quality, they have enough depth to get buy.
Thornton upgrades over Primeau (both centres). They have youngsters like Goc, Michalek, and Dimitrakos who could step up in Sturm's place. They have depth on the blueline with Hannon, McLaren, Ehrhoff, Preissing. And not to mention Nabokov and Toskala in goal. I think this turns there season around. WATCH OUT FOR THE SHARKS!

But you're right, this was shocking. When they said blockbuster I thought "Please be the Habs"... but I seriously wasn't expecting Thornton. Maybe he asked for a trade, I dunno.

Yay I like Tampa now.
I don't think Boston got "robbed", but they sure have written this season of.
Sturm: Top six winger. Excellent speed and puck handling skills. Smart player. 21, 28 and 21 goals over the last three seasons. He's a consistant player.
Stuart: Always liked him. Nice skater. Good puck moving defender. Will help there PP.
Primeau: Good depth player. Brings a solid all-around game.
Thronton is a top 3 centre, and a top 5 forward in the league, however as we know he has taken a few springs off.
It's a good move for both teams IMO. However, Boston has completly given up on this season. I think that's obvious.

I loved Ragu's 10 team plays of the week. Theodore's save vs Kovalchuk AND Hossa wasn't on there. Typical of the ignorant elfs. If that had been "2nd greatest goalie in history" Belfour, it woulda been voted play of the year.

Both had countless chances. This isn't hold your hand NHL till your 30 and then we decide you can't make it, they should shlt when they had the chance. They didn't, so they got off the pot.

Did I fall asleep for 3 or 4 years? and if I did, when did Hainsey win a Norris trophy?
Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't he start the last NHL season in Montreal and eventually lost his job? He had five seasons to make and stick with the team and he never did. And frankly lets be honest, this franchise is not filled with All-Stars on defense and won't be confused with the Detroit Red Wings defense. He had more then enough opportunites to make the team AND HE DIDN'T.
If Hainsey had stayed and played like crap, these same "Hainsey for Prime Minister" people would be screaming for him to be sent down. Some people you can never please.

Shoulda done this, shoulda done that. There is a reason we post on a board and people like Bob Gainey are the ones making the decision.
It was time for Hainsey to shlt or get off the commode. He didn't, and that's his problems not ours.

TMLSN is wetting themselves over Belfour apprently becoming the 2nd best goalie in history. Interesting how they show a pick of him and Sawchuk (in a Leaf uniform). Only an elf would be that ignorant.

Ozo fits the Habs style and would be a better fit. However, I do like Stuart, however he'll cost more.

Souray is a one-year wonder. Sorry fellas. He is a decent defender, but expectations for him are far too high. He is a top four Dman, but not a #1. Ozolinsh CAN BE a #1 IMO.

I'd like to know how Ozolinsh is NOT an upgrade over Souray? Ozolinsh has been an all-star and top offensive defenseman his whole career. Souray had ONE good year, and even then he was injuried for 1/4 of it.

i am treating this like a playoff game. a loss means hit the panic button. time for the boys to step up. i an expecting a big game outta Koivu. He will prove once again why he's one of the best leaders in the game.
