If so they will surely be in the market for a goalie
Raycroft has been outstanding this season. He's been the Bruins best player this season. They don't need a goalie. I think the kid can play and that the B's might be the darkhorse in the East.

Gauthier is not the answer IMO
Souray, Rivet, Markov, Briesbois, Quintal, Bouillon, Komisarek
That group is fine with me
-
Sundstrom is better then Juneau as well...
I don't mind Dackell in a defensive role, but I wouldn't trade Sundstrom at his expense...
-
Sundstrom is better then Dackell in all areas.
Dackell is a UFA this summer anyway, so why would you trade Sunny?
Trading Sundstrom would be a huge mistake...
-
Witt would be okay as a depth defenseman, but I'd rather stick with our current group... I think when Souray gets healthy it's a good group

Anyone else notice that TSN wasted no time in updating Brian Leetch's account and put him in a Leaf jersey?
Well it's been two days and they still list Kovalev as a Ranger..
-
Healy is an ahole... I've met him before, he was ignorant and the rudest piece of crap I've ever met.
I saw his rant last night and it was pathetic. "Oh this draft sucks, the guy quit on the team and the other guy wont make the NHL"...
Wouldn't it be funny if Leetch pulls a Gilmour and blows his knee out?
-
Deal Perreault and keep Juneau for depth purposes, just incase something happens... But Perreault is as done as dinner
-
Boston also just aquried Michael Nylander for a pick...
Looks like Boston is going for it this year

Looks like the end of the line for Perreault and Juneau in Montreal.
Koivu, Ribs, Begin and Dowd are a decent group of centres.
Trade Perreault, and see if the Habs could get anything for Juneau. If not, release him or send him to Hamilton.
-
Habs didn't give up alot for something they need
Leafs gave up a hell of alot more for something they already have
Their's the difference...
-
Oh no, not Brian Leetch! He has more assists this year on opponents goals then anyone else...
He is weak in his own end.
It's a typical Leaf cop out... Gonchar or Leetch... Similiar styles... One is the top scoring defenseman in the league, the other is over-the-hill, slow and injure pron...
Each are gonna cost alot, so what do the Leafs do? Go for Leetch...
If I had a choice, I'd take Gonchar is a heart-beat (which isn't saying much)...
-
I'd shoot myself if Lindros became a habs
Not cause he's a bad player, but because he's a bigot who degrated French-Canadians a decade ago...

As frustrating as he's been to watch the past couple of weeks, I have to agree about not being willing to give up Zednick. For one thing I think the team is finally starting to act like an actual TEAM and trying to replace a major part of that chemistry would be a mistake. Maybe more importantly though, I really do think it's only a matter of time before he gets going again, and that he'll be a force again. Ideally he'll be a consistent force, but even if he's not quite that I don't want to see him go now.
O'Neill was Carolina's best forward in the playoffs in 2002... He has that experience, he knows what it takes...
I like Zednik, but O'Neill is better then him in most areas.

Boy Fedorov looks like an ass... Now he wants to go back to Detroit after he spat in their face last summer...
Reminds me of Martin Lapointe...
-
Maybe we should be like Leaf fans and just start picking players randomly that we want
So we'll take Bertuzzi, Forsberg and Pronger, and only give up Dykhuis, Juneau and Traverse

The playoffs should be interesting for several reasons if you're a Wings fan:
1) This is by far the best team Joseph has played behind. If he cannot win a Cup behind this group, he never will.
2) Imagine for a second Detroit does win on the backs of Cujo. How much would that piss off TO?
3) The first round, like last time, will be the toughest series for Detroit. They should have won last year against Anaheim, but Giguere's pads got in the way of that.
4) The Wings have added 4 solid players since last years sad loss. Hatcher, Whitney, Thomas, and Lang. They were the best team in the NH last season without them. If they're healthy, I cannot imagine anyone by Motorcity winning the Cup.

Saturday's game was the worst officated game I've ever seen... How many high-sticks on Habs weren't called? Three? Plus that pecker head kicked Theodore in the head, no call... Glad we won, cause that was one frustrating boring game...
-
Leaf fan are wetting themselves at the thought of Gonchar. Problem is, he is not what they need. Their problem is their defensive play, which is Gonchar's weakness. He cannot handle big forwards and seems to make alot of mistakes in his own end. An strong offensive team like Philly, Ottawa, Tampa or Boston will destory him physical and on the score board. Gonchar does put up points, sure, but he also plays tons of minutes, simply because he is the Caps only good defenseman.
Toronto fans wanna think of him as the missing key. Well I guarantee you if he goes to Boston or Jersey instead, they'll say "Well he wasn't what we needed anyway"...
They did it with Blake a few years ago...
-
Zednik is not having the type of year I figured. He is not playing like he did last year. O'Neill is a more talented offensive player, and more physical. If the trade involved someone other then Hill, I'd do it.
-
Dastyuk, Lang, Yzerman and Draper down the middle...
-
It was a great day when Mr.October left... Under no circumstances would I want him back in the RWB...
-
People wrote off Steve Begin when we picked him up in September, and he's been one of our best forwards this season...
Eastwood is not who I'd want on the team, but he's better then some of the garbage floating around, ie Perreault and Juneau.

Sounds like someone is still bitter about the 2002 Olympics
Jim Dowd for a 4th round pick

I have faith in Komi. He has played well for a player of his age and skill level this season. Defensive defensemen usually take a little longe to develop then offensive Dmen. Jackman is an example of that. He took a few years to develop, and look at the season he had last year.
Bouillon has played so well this season. I was never a fan of the guy before, but he's earned my respect this season. He is having a very underrated season.
