  1. With more attention being paid to youth, I had to move Kaberle. O'Neil is solid & he will fill the void on the roster spot left by Kaberle. Connolly will help at my weakness at centre. He's great on faceoffs & he'll add some more offense to Columbus as well.

    Thanks again Atlanta.

  2. Columbus confirms this deal. Razov is a solid replacement for Klesla & I had to get rid of that contract. Glennie is a nice prospect who will be AHL bound hopefully during the season adding much needed depth to the Montreal Maroons. The draft picks are always good when trying to build for the future. Chipchura was the hardest to part with. But that's the punishment for being in salary cap hell. Chipchura will be missed & I'm making sure to bake him a pie before he goes. Pronovost should hopefully fit in the Columbus lifestyle.

    Great dealing with you Minnesota.

  3. Nikolai Zherdev - 92-74-83 CON: 85

I accepted this deal in most part because I needed cap relief. Unloading Zherdev's salary is a big stress off of my shoulder's plus the #2 pick in this year's draft will help contribute to Columbus being a power near in the future.

Thanks Calgary. It's been a pleasure.

  4. I accept this deal for one because it helps me get rid of my mistake in Lascek. Polushin will help me on my PK, Nieminen will help fill the void left by Pyatt & lastly Stubbes is a good young guy for the AHL that could be a good call up when needed.

Pleasure doing business with you Phoenix.

  5. I need to dump salary & still get back value. With these draft picks I can start to build up Columbus to being a future powerhouse...very very into the future.

Thanks Atlanta for dealing with me. It was a pleasure.

  6. Damn, man. You priced your players out of all the potential offers I had for you. You overpaid almost everyone by 500,000 to 1,500,000 bucks.

Yeah not sure what went wrong. For the majority of them I cut their offers in half as to what they were asking for.

Well you can tell I've been out of the loop lately. Had a lot of HWL rust it would seem. :(

  7. i'm sorry that I missed the trade deadline & that I wasn't able to respond to a couple of GMs requests for possible trades. & I do apologize also for not being active lately.

Just started working like crazy for the first time since December so me & my old friend free time aren't on speaking terms at the moment.

  8. Columbus accepts this deal because moving Wakaluk will get Noah Welch will start getting good ice time. Plus getting Nanaki could be a good replacement for Kaberle in 2 years if developed properly when Thomas is ready to hang up the skates.

& getting the draft picks will help my future depth.

  9. 13-12-2012 Kyle Chipchura injured.

Kyle Chipchura (CBJ) suffered thigh injury during the game in an incident with Jack Skille (SJ). He is expected to be sidelined for at least four months. Ouch, I can barely move, so lets not even mention hockey, he quoted before being taken to the hospital for tests

    Chipchura injured 120/14=8 games

  10. Well Columbus agreed to said deal because in getting Huselius i get a player who will be around for another season or 2 rather than Freisen who is retiring at season's end. Plus Huselius will increase my penalty kill & more so my power play though. & in Champlain I get a goalie who i can build around in the future & is ready to be in the AHL next season or even this season. So he's way ahead in the development department.

  12. Columbus Confirms:

Richards is a better fit for the philosophy my team is going to be going for now. & He'll be under contract for a couple more years too which helps.

& the second round pick will add some future depth to Columbus when the time comes.
