If Sanford plays 25+ games (or Price 65+ games) I don't think any upgrade we've made at C will overcome that value we lost with Halak being traded.
Price can play 74 games next season and lead the league in shutouts, then he'll be our savior again

Just remembered another idea Noah suggested: random prospect boosts after the draft to add unpredictability.
Yeah Oil and others have suggested this as well, would add some uncertainty to prospect development, PlayerScout would no longer be the all-powerful God.
-
Meh, a cap minimum is ok, Oil agrees, fine now let's combine that with another rule adjustment that brings out more potential -- yes we are talking about the one-season unretirement rights HWL used to have! That would enhance the value and appeal of veterans, as even if they "retire" a team can entice them back for one last season. So we'd see more trades involving vets and more competition for them and their salaries, would help parity. (Plus it's just wrong to have stars hanging up their skates at 33yrs old.)

when you pups are over 40 you won't think 30 is old anymore...

EDM confirms.
"Havlat" = repeat Stanley Cup for the Oil.
Thx J!

are there no goon goalies?

Gomez is way heavy for his height. Packed solid with a low center of gravity. We'll see, he may be a lot tougher round the net than some of us expect.
-
We had two separate deals, both confirmed by the TC. Combining them simply makes it easier on the simmer. What's to be confused about? I assume it's ok, since it's occasionally been done in the past when the same two GMs make two trades during the same sim.

Once while hiking in rural Shizuoka prefecture, I fell into an old well, busting both legs. With no way out of my dark dank prison I had to survive by sucking moss and eating earthworms. On day five a Japanese rice farmer found me, sent down a couple of Crunky bars in a bucket and said he had called the fire department who were on their way to rescue me, and that they were expected withing the hour. Summoning the last of my fading strength, writing on the candy bar wrapper with my own blood, I scrawled the HWL HQ address and my password, along with instructions to change Lashoff's training to defence. The farmer, thank god, understood and obliged.
And that is why The Oil won the cup this year.

Both trades confirmed, just combined them into one deal to save the simmer a little time.
am i the only one confused?

Although the Oil's semi-discreet attempts to bunch three thirds failed miserably and finally we were at the mercy of the unlikely tag-team duo of KoZ & FP, ultimately it was worth it!

I'd forgotten the Koko Salo issue still had to be fixed so I just took care of that. At the same time, I fixed the bottom of the 1st to show Edmonton's Cup win (congrats again JLP). Just a notice to re-download the sim.
(Thats right, when I can't sleep at 3:30 AM, I sim. Such is the life of a simmer. Theres nothing as monotonous either so I should be in bed in no time. )
Thanks Jets

So I see Buffalo failed to show up yet again. How many drafts in a row has this guy missed????
Glad we let him into HWL2 as well...
tell you what, next time let's have the draft at 4:00 am Montreal time. That will suit the HWL GMs in Asia, Oceania (where he is), Europe and the Middle East. I'll bet some North American GMs don't show up, though . . . It takes all kinds, understand your feelings and yeah he's had a day, but being on the other side of the world is not always convenient in this league anyway kindly leave the dissing off the boards.

HOW IS THIS GUY STILL ALLOWED TO GM A TEAM IN OUR LEAGUE?!?!?!?!
well, as we all know, it takes all kinds . . . right? i mean look at our league. no problem.
