Meh, it's not a big deal for me. I'd have gone after an RFA or two if the prices were more fair, but I'm more than happy with my team already.

Hey, I fully expect Mils to justify and defend himself. I'm just sticking up for a friend.
Do I really defend him all the time? Maybe it just seems like I do, since I was kind of his EHM mentor when he started and then I took care of his stuff while his computer was in the shop a while back.
I admit, I follow Toronto more closely than other HWL teams, so maybe that's why I discuss Toronto's situation more than others.

Show me in this thread where anyone comes close to saying "We should have kept Hainsey."
That's right, nowhere. This thread is simply talking about a great individual effort made by Hainsey. It's not about the topic that you seem to think it's about. What is so bad about praising an ex-Habs player? Does it make YOU regret trading him or something? Personally, I wish Hainsey the best.

Frankly what moe is saying about Gretzky is true. It's his opinion, I agree with him fully, and so do alot of other people. I do not see why any of us should be critized for our opinions. Facts and examples are given so whats the big deal?
Ok, let me get this straight:
~moeman can bash Gretzky, but sakiqc isn't allowed to praise him?
What gives?
And show me, what facts have been given? The closest thing I can find is "Gretzky is a traitor." How on Earth is he a traitor? A traitor to who? Where is the evidence?

He gave Nolan and Roberts away because at the time, he was told he had to get under the cap before the offseason, so he was rushed getting rid of his talent. Also, he came in shortly before we started the one week trade bar on new GMs. He was pressured into making some bad trades because of the cap, and he's feeling the effect of it now. Granted, this is just my opinion, I haven't heard Mils complain about what went down, so I assume he was ok with it. He wasn't the only one who made bad trades under the pressure of the cap. For instance, Colin shedded a lot of talent very quickly under that same pressure.

Auld will probably make it to 80-82 OA, and he added a badly needed RW. Have you seen his top 2 lines?
As for Aebi, buyers remourse perhaps?

You plagiarized that off of Ecklund's site. What an idiot he is. He doesn't know the difference between the WNBC and NBC sites. Come on Ecklund, how do you expect people to trust you if you do stupid stuff like this?
goonhad, Ecklund is an idiot, don't listen to anything he says.

You'd give a 2nd round for him? He's not that much better than Schaefer, who nobody would give me even a 3rd rounder for.

Huh? I don't see anyone calling for Gainey's head for letting Hainsey go, or anyone wishing Hainsey were still around. I see people wishing Hainsey the best in Columbus and being impressed by a great end-to-end rush.

Um, that site is for WNBC, which I believe is the New York NBC station. This isn't the actual NBC site.
Also, there are a number of options with a lot fewer votes than Hockey.
Lol, not to mention nobody is taking the poll seriously, as 29% have said curling. Nothing against curling, but very few in the US give a damn about curling.

Wow, a 1st round pick for that low salary? That seems really steep, considering the calibre of player earns that kind of money. I never noticed how absurd the RFA stuff is.
-
Wow, I got tired after leading the Jackets through 4 successful seasons. Simply too easy.
Maybe I'd sim more on my own if the program was not so slow.
-
I don't see why there would be any reason not to invite them over. It wouldn't be spamming the Wild board, which is the only problem we have in terms of spreading the word about HW.

As for the show, I watched season 2, and I thought it was a good show. I hate reality television, but this show is at least watchable.
I heard the family from Cincinnati won, the kids went to the same high school that a number of my housemates last year went to. Good for them. I heard one kid was wearing a Who-Dey shirt, GO BENGALS!

I learned that the hard way when I played my first season of EHM on my own. Dan Fritsche ended up maxing out and dropping, becoming a career AHLer.
Luckily, I didn't know about turning up the trade difficulty yet, so I moved Letowski and my 1st rounder for Washington's 1st rounder. Hehe

"Theodore was very good tonight," Gretzky said. "... Listen, I've said it many times, the pressure he faces every day playing in Montreal, he handles it extremely well. I have the utmost respect for him as a player."

Yep, the Habs sure were an offensive power house when Therrien was around. *sarcasm* Therrien and Julien were both great AHL coaches. In my opinion, neither is much more than that. I wasn't a fan of Therrien, and I'm not a fan of Julien.
But seriously, bringing back a coach they fired, that's just silly. Only the Yankees do that

Safe to say who won that trade.
Poulin was a solid defensive player, Mick Vukota was a tough guy, played a few games with the Habs. Ulanov was a solid D-man.
Richer was nearing the end of his career, not a big loss. Wilkie was a young D-man who never made much of himself. And we all know Tucker.
I remember when the Habs made this trade, during their purge of young talent. We traded a lot of young talent back then, and this was one of my least favorite trades. Tucker was one of my favorite Habs at the time. I liked the amount of enthusiasm and heart he seemed to display on the ice. Plus, he was a tough guy with some skill, an always valuable asset.

Dang, 0-1-1-0 this week. Both my goalies got blasted.
My team is sweet, start playing well!
And the worst part? My line of Picard-Sakic-Pineault that dominated at the end of last season, is struggling mightly, all with average ratings below 7.
Come on Captain Sakic, light a fire under these guys!

Yes, we drafted him 200th overall in the 2005 entry draft.

Wow, everyone on the ice got the boot! Crazy game Tex/MrHab.
Good week for the Jackets. 4-3 loss to Edmonton, but the winner came in OT, so I got a point. Then a 5-3 win vs. STL, a 7-5 win over Nashville, and finished with a 5-4 win over Toronto.
Columbus now sits atop the Central division, which is exactly where I should be.
