  1. I still think this group is better than this series suggests... but our future is bleak.

Our 2024-2025 season will possibly feature. A 37yo Price, 39 yo Weber, 37yo Petry and 33yo Gallagher.

All likely broken beyond repair. For a total of what? 31M? 🤣

Nice comeback, hopefully Armia's injury isn't serious as they can't afford any more injuries.

Worth noting, Teasdale and Pezzetta remain on the taxi squad.  I thought they'd have moved to 'real' recalls by now but perhaps Teasdale is next in line.

Teasdale is a beast perfect fourth liner for us.

Interesting option ... he has been the owner of the Halifax Mooseheads but don't know that he was ever their GM ... he was their coach for one season ... Bobby was the Phoenix Coyotes first GM (1996-2000), but that was 20+ years ago ... strikes me as someone who may not be interested in the day-to-day job of a GM ... perhaps a short-term Team President?

Having worked in the org.. I don't think Bobby is coming back to hockey. He's very comfortable as is in the business world.

Of course he did. He basically only started in the offensive end.

Out of the lineup.  Romanov is no longer on the active roster.  As has been noted above, once they get back to having a full contingent of forwards, they'll be forced to use their final recall on either Romanov or by converting Caufield to a regular recall, effectively making the other one ineligible for the rest of the season barring emergency conditions.

Silly that someone employed by NHL.com can't get that right...

    They have...

    Chiarot-Weber

    Edmundson-Petry

    Romanov-Merill

with Kulak and Gustaf scratched. Who is in?

  6. What are people thinking about Weber's contract?

He's still effective atm but 35 YO with 7.85M tied up till he's 40?

Any shot Seattle would take him?

Would it be a good idea for us to lose him at this time?

Not like replacement options are in house yet and FA basically is Dougie Hamilton...

They also have Craig Anderson on the taxi squad to use in a pinch and the Siegenthaler trade yesterday frees up a bit of money to perhaps try to add another goalie now that they know Lundqvist won't be back.  They also have Pheonix Copley ahead of Fucale in the minors and he has NHL experience.

They like Fucale - they just gave him a two-year extension but they like him as a fourth-stringer, not a viable NHL option.

Yes... but Anderson was god awful in his showings this year and to be fair quite bad the past number seasons. Plus Copley has been out played by Fucale.

However I agree that the Siegenthaler trade likely is to make room for a real goalie.
