Collberg was loaned to Mariestad BoIS of Sweden's Division 1 league (which really is 3rd pro level below the SEL and the Allsvenskan) for their game today. He picked up a goal and an assist and was +4. Mariestad is his hometown so at least for one game (and only one game as specified in the loan), he got to play in front of his hometown fans this year.
Do the swedish hockey leagues run a relegation kinda system as in football?

If Canada was a division II weak team, and your own kid was a top NHL prospect, you would advise him to skip it?
I still dont think could do any harm at all and to show some pride would be nicer to see.
Now if your team was stacked and didnt really need him, then sure, skip it.
How long did Bozon live in France? If he was just born there and moved to Canada then there would be virtually no connection.

I read in an article this morning by Eric Engels that Scott Gomez is playing on a team in the ECHL. Is that true? If it is I hadn't heard anything about that. Question: why the ECHL and not the AHL??
I am 99% sure he did this last lockout too. There is an ECHL team in Alaska, its more about playing at home close to family and friends then the competition level.

With Pateryn out long-term, the Bulldogs have signed Mike Commodore to a PTO according to the AHL's site. The club has not yet officially announced the signing.

Hamilton outshoots St. John's by a mile (46-19) but can only manage one goal and fall 3-1. The rematch goes late tomorrow afternoon (I think at 5:30 PM).
How do you score once on 46 shots.... Letting in 3 on 19 is a bit hard to get as well... oh hamilton you are a confusing one.

I don't know if I'd like the 3v3 hockey :/
but they should make 4v4 overtime more then 5 minutes.. its just silly short.. you can go to the bathroom and miss OT and part of the shootout as it stands now.

I would say so. The players voted him 2nd most talented player in the game (The Hockey News story)... plus he won 4 straight lady byngs.

I am getting the hang of it again. Lots of differences between this league and the last one I was in. In that league the cap was high so you rarely had to make choices. You could pretty much keep everyone if you were remotely smart.
Did have one question though, are no-trades always enforced? ( assuming yes )
Liking the roster bbp. Probably should have paid more attention to the fact that most existing scorers on the roster are older but thats the fun of it. Hopefully I can add to the stable in the coming draft.
If you have any questions with about Edmonton ask away! I have temp'd them pretty actively the past two seasons.
