Note: Detroit scored 5 straight in the third (in just over 10 minutes) to come from 3-1 to 6-3

After today, make that 4 goals and 5 assists in 5 games which moves him into a tie for 2nd overall in OHL scoring.

I'm pretty sure Nishioka will get a deal back at home in Japan for big bucks. He didn't just walk away from the contract for the sake of being nice to the Twins. He'll recoup that money he's walking away from.
As for Gomez, that situation doesn't exist. There won't be teams lining up to give him a multi year, multi million contract. Sure, some teams would take a gamble on a cheap deal but he'd come nowhere close to earning what he'd be walking away from.
Honestly he could lose an entire digit off his salary.

Charles Hudon is having a terrific start to his year. With 4 goals and 3 assists in only 3 games, he sits 4th in QMJHL scoring and leads his team in that regard. Brady Vail (Windsor) also is his team leader in points with 2 goals and 3 assists in 4 contests.

To add some more grit. Hamilton lost FitzGerald (
), Henry, and Conboy, all of who were capable pugilists. They did sign Kyle Hagel but asking him to shoulder that much of the fighting load is asking too much. Plus, he's from close to the area and was a fan favourite when he was there years ago when Edmonton was a split affiliate with Hamilton. I'm sure they'll spin it as veteran leadership too as I believe he is now the oldest forward on the team (Hagel is a few months older, both are 27).Right. I forget that the AHL is a much more physical league fighty league. Also... we let Conboy go for sure? I knew Henry went to Germany and that Fitz was just useless haha.
